I just feel all around numb. No feelings good or bad. I would like to break out of this. Also God revives things with ###. I would ideally like things to progress and would consider marriage with him but I'd like more from him. If it's God's will to revive. Or if itsxfoneone else lead to that and open my heart. God restore in me what needs it for me to cc feel well. Creativity. Hear, see and feel God. And a big increase of faith. Happiness. Also no pain in body. For wisdom, clarity. No confusion. We join with you in bringing this deep numbness before the Lord, for we know He sees the heart that feels nothing good or bad and longs to feel again. We understand the heaviness of feeling all around numb emotionally and even physically, and we pray with you for God to restore what needs restoring so you can feel well, create, and experience joy again. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We ask Him to lift this cloud and breathe life back into your spirit, for He has promised do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We also lift up before the Lord the man you mentioned and your desire for that relationship to be revived if it is God's will, and your openness to marriage. We affirm your desire for marriage, for we believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that honors God, and we encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. If this man is to be your husband, we pray the Lord will make that clear and lead him to pursue you with greater intentionality, godly leadership, and love that reflects Christ. We would also gently remind you that any progress in a relationship should remain pure and honor God, for sex before or outside of marriage is fornication and not God's design, and true love waits and protects until the marriage covenant. If this relationship is not God's will, we pray He will close the door in peace and open your heart to the godly spouse He has for you, and give you wisdom and clarity with no confusion, for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace 1 Corinthians 14:33. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. We pray for that wisdom and for eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened Ephesians 1:18.

We noticed your request speaks of God and the Holy Spirit but does not mention Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is by trusting in Jesus and His finished work on the cross that we are forgiven, made new, and filled with the Holy Spirit. We encourage you to call upon His name daily.

So we pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up Your daughter to You. Create in her a clean heart and renew a right spirit within her Psalm 51:10, restore to her the years that have felt lost and numb Joel 2:25, and pour out Your Holy Spirit upon her, for we are told do not be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit Ephesians 5:18. Take away physical pain and heal her body, take away confusion and grant clarity, increase her faith, fill her with Your joy and peace which surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Help her to hear, see, and feel You again, to walk in creativity and happiness that comes from You, and to cast all her worries on You because You care for her 1 Peter 5:7. Lead her in Your perfect will regarding marriage, and let Your will be done in that relationship or in leading her to the husband You have prepared. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our hope and our healer, amen.

We encourage you to remain in prayer and in the Word, to seek fellowship with believers who can walk with you, and to continue asking for the filling of the Holy Spirit each day. The Lord is faithful to restore, to clarify, and to fill, and we trust He will lead you out of numbness into fullness of life in Him.

What you describe often happens when heart and body have been carrying a lot for a long time and pull back to protect themselves. It does not mean you have failed or that God has stepped away, even when He feels distant or quiet. Renewal usually comes gradually, more like training over time than trying harder in a moment, through small faithful steps and with support around you.

If this numbness and pain have lingered, we gently encourage you to let a trusted medical professional or counselor know as well, alongside prayer, so you are not carrying this alone. It can also help to tell one safe person in your life or church this week how you are really doing and ask them to check in with you regularly.

We hear your desire about and your openness to God's will, whether that means reviving that relationship in a healthy way or leading you to someone else. We are praying for clear wisdom and an open heart to His direction.

Father, we bring our friend to You. You see the numbness and the longing to feel well. Restore what is weary, ease pain in the body, clear confusion and bring Your wisdom and peace. Your burden has been heard and it is laid before the throne of grace with much tenderness. To feel numb in heart and in body, to have no feeling good or bad, is a sore trial, and yet the Lord is He who quickens the dead and revives the fainting soul. He can make the dry bones live and cause the heart that feels as stone to feel again with holy feeling.

We will pray that the Lord will restore unto you what is lacking, that He will breathe upon you and make you to hear and to see and to feel Him with a living faith. You ask for a filling of the Holy Spirit, and this is a most necessary and blessed petition. Know this, that we receive the Holy Spirit not by the works of the Law but by the hearing of faith. It is not by our striving or our almsgiving or our prayers alone that He falls upon us, but when the gospel of Jesus Christ is heard and trusted. Do not wish to be anything or to do anything of yourself, just trust in what Jesus is and did, for He is our All in All. The Holy Spirit delights to glorify Christ, to take the things of Christ and show them unto us, and to remove the veil that sin has put between us and our Saviour.

Seek then a holy delight, for to be filled with the Spirit is safe delight, holy delight, because it is the Holy Spirit that works it in you and makes you to delight in everything that is pleasing to the Holy God. He is not an influence or an it, He is very God of very God, the Paraclete, the Comforter, and where He comes His fruits are joy and peace and love and confidence. Pray every morning, Holy Spirit, speak with me, bedew me, enlighten me, set me on fire, dwell in me. And be sensitive to His leading, for we are to pray in the Holy Spirit and through the Holy Spirit, in His power and according to His guidance.

Take heed also that we grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby we are sealed unto the day of redemption. There is something very touching in that word grieve, for it shows His tender and affectionate interest in us. He is grieved by unholiness, by pride, by unbelief, by impurity and by all that is contrary to sound doctrine. If we would retain His gracious presence we must walk by the simple rule of Gods Book and by the light of Gods Spirit, purging from our lives what is contrary to His Word, and humbly submitting to His choice.

Concerning him of whom you speak, we will pray with you that the Lord will do what is most for His glory and for your true good. We will not ask God to bless what is outside His holy will, for marriage is His own institution, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to it is to be kept pure and honourable within that covenant. If it be the will of God to revive that acquaintance and to lead it in holiness toward such a covenant, we pray that He will make it plain, and that He will give to both of you a greater measure of grace, truth and self denying love, and a desire to honour Christ above all. If it be not His will, we pray that He will in mercy close that door, open your heart to His better provision, guard you from confusion, and keep you from forming bonds that would grieve the Spirit or lead away from obedience. In either case we ask for wisdom and clarity for you, that you may not be tossed about but may know the Lords mind and follow it with a willing heart.

And for your other requests we will plead earnestly. May the Lord lift this numbness and restore feeling that is healthy and well ordered. May He take away bodily pain according to His mercy, and grant you soundness. May He restore creativity, increase faith, and give you happiness that is not the excitement of the world but the settled joy of those who are filled with the Spirit. May He give you wisdom and take away confusion, for God is not the author of confusion but of peace.

O Father of mercies, look upon this Thy child who feels as one dead and without power. Thou hast met with many who were ashamed and lifeless, and Thou hast made them new creatures in Christ Jesus. Do so here. Grant the hearing of faith, that Thy dear Son may be seen and trusted, and let the Holy Spirit fall upon this heart as upon those who heard the Word in Cornelius house. Fill this soul with Thy Holy Spirit, that there may be holy delight and courage and purity. Take away all numbness and pain of body and spirit, revive what is withered, restore creativity, and grant to hear Thy voice and to see Thy glory. Give a great increase of faith, give happiness rooted in Christ, give wisdom and clarity and take away all confusion. And as for the path of life and love, let Thy perfect will be done. Lead in holiness, keep from all that would grieve Thy Spirit, and establish what Thou wouldst establish. We ask this not for our merit but for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name we trust alone for salvation. Amen.

We join you in prayer and thank you for sharing so honestly about this season of numbness. Feeling no good or bad emotions, and carrying physical numbness and pain, is a heavy burden, and God sees and cares for you in it. We pray He will restore what feels shut down and bring life and feeling back in His mercy and timing.

We pray that the Lord will fill you with His Holy Spirit, increase your faith, and give you wisdom, clarity and freedom from confusion. May He ease pain in your body, renew your creativity, and help you to hear, see and sense His presence more clearly as you seek Him in His Word and in prayer. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God, and we ask that as you stay near to Christ He will replace numbness with true joy, not the fleeting joy of this world but the deeper joy that comes from knowing Him. We ask Him to lift heaviness, to bring happiness rooted in His presence, and to heal what needs healing in your heart, mind and body.

Concerning the man you mentioned, we pray for God's clear leading and for a heart that desires His will above all. If it is the Lord's will to revive that relationship and lead it toward a lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, we pray He would make that clear, grow godly commitment and maturity in both of you, and help you to pursue it in purity, keeping sex and living together within marriage alone. If it is not His will to revive it, we pray He would close that door with peace, guard your heart from confusion, and open your heart to the right path He has for you, whether that is a season of singleness or in His time a future marriage He has prepared. Above all we pray you would be rooted in salvation through Jesus Christ alone, through whom we have forgiveness and access to the Father, and that your desires would be shaped by His love and truth.
