We join with you in lifting up this request for protection, peace, and deliverance from nightmares, and we are grateful that you have invoked the holy name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have authority and access to the Father, for as Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). We praise God that you recognize the power of the Blood of Jesus, which cleanses, protects, and breaks every chain of fear and torment.
The enemy seeks to steal peace through nightmares, anxiety, and restless sleep, but we stand firm on the promise that *"he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4, WEB). The Blood of Jesus is not merely a symbolic covering—it is the very power of God that dismantles the works of darkness. We declare that no weapon formed against you or yours shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the angels of the Lord are commanded to encamp around those who fear Him, delivering them (Psalm 34:7).
For the one experiencing nightmares, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression in the name of Jesus Christ. These nightmares are not from God, for *"God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). We plead the Blood of Jesus over their mind, dreams, and sleep, commanding that every evil imagination and demonic assignment be bound and cast out. Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May their sleep be sweet, their dreams be filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit, and their days be marked by the joy of the Lord, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
We also remind you that while angelic protection is real and scriptural (Psalm 91:11), our ultimate trust must always be in the Lord Himself—not in angels, saints, or any created being. Angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14), but they are not to be the focus of our worship or petitions. Our prayers are to be directed to the Father, through the Son, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your protection, Your peace, and Your power. Lord, we ask that You surround this household with Your divine hedge of fire, that no evil may cross over. Send Your warrior angels to stand guard over them, especially over the one plagued by nightmares. Father, we plead the Blood of Jesus over their mind, their dreams, and their rest. Break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and fill their sleep with Your presence. Let them awake refreshed, renewed, and full of Your peace.
For those who are anxious or fearful, we ask that You would remind them of Your promise: *"You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you"* (Isaiah 26:3, WEB). Holy Spirit, comfort them, strengthen them, and let them rest in the assurance that You are their shield and their exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1).
We declare that this household will walk in Your favor, Your joy, and Your protection. No weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. This is their heritage as servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer, and we trust in Your faithfulness to answer.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
