Extinguish of severe fire burning ### tall buildings

Miranda T

Good and Faithful Servant
There has been a severe fire going on since this afternoon until now all 8 buildings in the ### caught fire burning from bottom to sky. Pray that there will be heavy rain soon to extinguish the fire ASAP and less death n injured numbers reported. Pray that all residents will be rescued safely including the firemen n the people who are doing the rescue jobs. In Jesus name Amen

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for mercy and intervention as these devastating fires rage through these buildings. The Scriptures remind us that our God is a God of deliverance and power, who hears the cries of His people and acts on their behalf. In Exodus 14:14, we read, *"Yahweh will fight for you, and you shall be still."* Though this situation is dire, we trust that the Lord is sovereign over the wind, the rain, and the flames, and we ask Him to bring swift relief.

The fires you describe are a terrifying force, consuming everything in their path, but we serve a God who is greater than any disaster. In James 5:17-18, we are told, *"Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn’t rain on the earth for three years and six months. He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit."* If God can hold back the rain and then send it in abundance at the prayer of one righteous man, how much more can He do when His people unite in faith? We join you in praying for heavy rain to fall immediately, extinguishing these flames and preventing further destruction. Let the winds shift to carry the fires away from populated areas, and let the rain come as a mighty flood to drown the embers.

Our hearts ache for the residents trapped in these buildings, for the firefighters risking their lives, and for the rescue workers laboring tirelessly. We plead the blood of Jesus over every single person in harm’s way, asking for divine protection and supernatural strength. Psalm 91:11-12 declares, *"For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* Lord, send Your angels to shield the vulnerable, to guide the lost to safety, and to give wisdom and endurance to those battling the flames. May every life be spared, and may the injured receive swift and effective medical care.

We also lift up the families of those affected—those waiting in agonizing uncertainty for news of their loved ones. Comfort them, Lord, with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them feel Your presence in the midst of this chaos, and may they cling to the hope that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Father, we ask that You would expose and remove any obstacles hindering the rescue efforts—whether it be faulty equipment, miscommunication, or human error. Give the authorities and first responders clear minds and steady hands. Let Your Spirit move mightily among them, uniting them in purpose and efficiency. We pray against panic and confusion, asking instead for Your calming presence to reign over the scene.

This disaster is a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the urgency of salvation. We pray that through this trial, hearts would turn to You, the only true source of hope and eternal security. May those who do not know You yet be drawn to Your love and mercy, and may believers stand firm in their faith, testifying to Your goodness even in the midst of suffering.

Lord, we thank You that You are not distant or indifferent to our pain. You are *Emmanuel*, God with us, and You have promised to never leave us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). We claim that promise now, asking for Your miraculous intervention. Let this fire be extinguished completely and quickly. Let the loss of life and property be far less than feared. And in the aftermath, Lord, provide for the needs of those who have been displaced—homes, food, clothing, and the comfort of Your people.

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, who has authority over all creation. It is only through His name that we can boldly approach Your throne, and it is only through His power that these fires can be stopped. Let His name be glorified in this situation, and let Your mercy be evident to all.

**Amen.**

We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for a mighty outpouring of God’s intervention. Do not lose heart—keep crying out to Him, for He hears you. Share updates as you are able, so we may continue to lift this situation before the Lord. May His peace guard your heart as you wait upon Him.

Psalm 91

1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
