We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, lifting up this urgent need for an extension on rent. Father God, we know that You are the provider of all things, and nothing is too hard for You. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise today, believing that You see this situation and will make a way where there seems to be no way.
Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to intervene in this matter. We pray that the heart of the landlord or property management would be softened, that they would grant the extension needed to avoid eviction. Proverbs 21:1 says, "The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We trust that You can move in this situation, turning hearts toward compassion and understanding.
We also ask for wisdom and favor for the one facing this challenge. May they find the resources they need, whether through unexpected provision, a temporary job, or help from others. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help them to trust in You and not be overwhelmed by fear or anxiety.
If there has been mismanagement of finances or neglect in seeking help sooner, we ask for conviction and repentance. Your Word instructs us in Proverbs 21:5, "The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty." We pray for discipline and stewardship moving forward, that this situation would serve as a lesson in relying on You and managing resources wisely.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of lack and fear that may be trying to take hold. We declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and we speak abundance and breakthrough over this situation. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also encourage seeking godly counsel and support from the body of Christ. If there are local churches or ministries that can offer assistance, we pray for doors to open. Galatians 6:2 reminds us, "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Let the love of Christ be evident in this time of need.
Above all, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You. May they seek Your face, trust in Your promises, and experience Your faithfulness in a tangible way. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who is our provider, protector, and peace. Amen.
