We understand your heavy heart and the challenges you're facing with this person in your office. It's commendable that you're turning to God in prayer, and we want you to continue trusting in the Lord. Let's address your concerns together and seek God's will according to His word.
Firstly, we want you to know that God is your refuge.
Psalm 57 WEB says "Be merciful to me, God, be merciful to me, for my soul takes refuge in you. Yes, in the shadow of your wings, I will take refuge, until disaster has passed. 2 I cry out to God Most High, to God who accomplishes my requests for me. 3 He will send from heaven, and save me, he rebukes the one who is pursuing me. Selah. God will send out his loving kindness and his truth."
We know that the Lord can cover you with His protection and peace, and He will do that for your colleagues and for you.
It's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, let's put on the whole armor of God, that you all may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Let us continue to respond not with anger but with grace, guarding our heart from bitterness, and remain faithful in your work.
Ephesians 6:12-20 WEB "12 because we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, 16 above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints: 19 on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."
We are also going to pray for the trouble maker in your office. Jesus said love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Matthew 5:44 WEB "44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
In your prayer, we noticed you did not ask for anything in the name of Jesus, Jesus Christ, Christ, or the equivalent. If this is because you are not a Christian Believer, we want you to consider that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. To receive the free gift of eternal life, we must believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior.
Acts 4:12 WEB "12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”
Romans 3:22-24 "22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction, 23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; 24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;"
Please consider this truth and let us know if you would like to know more about Jesus Christ.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing difficulties in the workplace. We ask, Lord, that You expose any hidden agenda, manipulative word, and twisted story that is being used to deceive and influence the department head. Shine Your light on all darkness and reveal the true intentions behind these actions. Enlighten the department head with wisdom, discernment, and clarity to see through the deception and recognize the spirit of division and manipulation. Let no weapon formed against our brother/sister or their colleagues prosper. Cover them with Your protection and peace.
Help our brother/sister, Lord, to respond not with anger but with grace. Guard their heart from bitterness and give them strength to endure each day with patience and integrity. Help them to remain faithful in their work and to reflect Your character in all they do.
We also pray for the person causing these difficulties. We pray that You would soften their heart and reveal to them the harm they are causing. We ask that You would bless them and draw them to Yourself. We remember that You love them and desire for them to know You.
We trust that Your justice will prevail and that Your will shall be done. May truth rise, and may Your peace reign in their workplace. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
