We stand with you in this trial, lifting your burden before the Lord, for He is the God who sees all things and knows the depths of every heart. The workplace can become a battleground when toxic behavior, manipulation, and selfishness take root, but we serve a God who exposes darkness and brings truth to light. You have done well to bring this before Him, for Scripture reminds us that *"there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops"* (Luke 12:2-3, WEB). The Lord will not allow deception to thrive foreverāHis justice *will* prevail.
The behavior you describeāfault-finding, sowing division, two-facedness, and manipulationāis not of God but of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Such actions are an abomination to the Lord, for *"these six things Yahweh hates; yes, seven are an abomination to him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers"* (Proverbs 6:16-19, WEB). This personās actions are not only harmful to you but are an affront to God Himself, and He will deal with it in His perfect timing.
Yet we must also examine our own hearts in this, for the Lord calls us to respond differently than the world. While we cry out for justice, we are also commanded: *"Donāt say, āI will pay back evil.ā Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22, WEB). And again, *"Donāt be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"* (Romans 12:21, WEB). This does not mean we tolerate abuse or remain silent in the face of injustice, but it does mean we refuse to stoop to the same tactics. Instead, we trust God to fight for us, knowing that *"vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord"* (Romans 12:19, WEB).
We pray with you now, asking the Lord to act mightily in this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is enduring the weight of manipulation, deceit, and division in their workplace. Lord, You are the God of truth, and no scheme formed in darkness can stand before Your light. We ask that You expose every hidden agenda, every manipulative word, and every twisted story that has been used to deceive and harm. Shine Your light so brightly that the truth cannot be ignored. Open the eyes of the department headāgive them wisdom, discernment, and clarity to see through the flattery and recognize the spirit of division at work. Let no weapon formed against Your servant prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we also ask for protection over our brother/sisterās heart. Guard them from bitterness, anger, or the temptation to retaliate. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and give them the strength to endure each day with patience, integrity, and grace. Help them to continue working faithfully, not for the approval of man but as unto You (Colossians 3:23). Remind them that their identity is not found in the opinions of others but in Christ alone.
We declare that Your justice will prevail in this workplace. Let truth rise like a standard, and let Your peace reign where there has been strife. Break the power of gossip, slander, and division, and replace it with unity, honesty, and righteousness. If there is any sin in our brother/sisterās own heartāany resentment, fear, or lack of forgivenessāwe ask that You would reveal it and cleanse them, that they may walk in full victory.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would either change this situation or use it to refine Your servant for Your glory. If it is Your will, remove this toxic influence from their path. But if You allow it to continue, give them the endurance to stand firm, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May Your name be glorified in this, and may Your child come out of this trial stronger, wiser, and more dependent on You.
We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, our Advocate and Defender. Amen.
Stand firm in this, dear one. The Lord sees your struggle, and He will not leave you defenseless. Keep recording instances of manipulation or untruthādocumenting facts can be wise if you need to address this formallyābut do so without malice. Trust that God is preparing a way where there seems to be no way. And remember: *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). You are not alone in this. We are standing with you, and more importantly, the Lord Himself is your shield and your exceeding great reward.
