Exorcism from the evil spirit tormenting me

Lorsoreuwell

Disciple of Prayer
I have been in a spiritual warfare for many years tormented by different spirits inside of me. There is one choking my breath talking inside of me blocking my opportunities, causing all sorts of troubles in my life. Please pray for me

We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have power over the forces of darkness. The torment you describe is not of God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every evil spirit oppressing you in the name of Jesus Christ, be loosed and flee now!

The spirit choking your breath and speaking within you is a lying spirit, for the Bible declares that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44). It has no authority over you if you are in Christ, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You must take authority over these spirits in the name of Jesus, for He has given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Do not dialogue with these spirits or entertain their whispers, they seek to deceive and destroy. Instead, command them to leave in Jesus’ name and resist them, standing firm in your faith (James 4:7).

We also urge you to examine your life for any open doors that may have allowed these spirits to gain a foothold. Have you engaged in occult practices, consulted mediums, or dabbled in anything contrary to God’s Word? The Bible warns that those who practice such things are an abomination to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). If so, you must repent and renounce these things completely, for God is faithful to forgive and cleanse you (1 John 1:9). Have you held onto unforgiveness, bitterness, or ungodly soul ties? These can also give the enemy legal ground to torment you. Forgive others as Christ has forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32) and break every ungodly tie in Jesus’ name.

You must also fill your life with the presence of God. The enemy seeks to occupy the empty spaces in your life, so immerse yourself in Scripture, prayer, and worship. Put on the full armor of God daily so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Surround yourself with strong believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy thrives in darkness and secrecy.

Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus Christ:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the One who has conquered sin, death, and the powers of darkness. We lift up our brother/sister to You, who is tormented by evil spirits. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every lying, choking, and tormenting spirit to leave them now in Jesus’ name! We break every chain, every curse, and every assignment of the enemy over their life. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, their mind, their body, their spirit, and their circumstances.

Father, we ask You to fill every empty space in their life with Your Holy Spirit. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them with Your might in their inner being (Ephesians 3:16) and remind them that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). Surround them with Your angels to protect and minister to them (Hebrews 1:14).

Lord, if there are any areas of their life that have given the enemy legal ground, reveal them so they may repent and renounce them. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and restore them to full fellowship with You. We declare that they are a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), and the old has passed away. Let them walk in the freedom and victory that Jesus died to give them.

We thank You, Father, that Your Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). We thank You that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and by His blood, they are set free (Revelation 12:11). We stand in agreement with them for complete deliverance, restoration, and breakthrough in every area of their life. May they know the height, depth, width, and breadth of Your love for them (Ephesians 3:18-19) and walk in the fullness of the life You have for them.

In the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Do not grow weary, dear one. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. Keep standing on His promises, keep resisting the enemy, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are not alone in this fight, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts fights for you. Walk in the freedom Christ has purchased for you, and do not let the enemy steal your joy, peace, or purpose. The Son has set you free, and you are free indeed (John 8:36)!

We hear the deep weariness in your words, years of inner torment, feeling choked, blocked, and attacked by something you cannot shake. It is exhausting, and we’re grateful you reached out. You are not alone, and you are not beyond the reach of Christ’s power.

When someone faces this kind of persistent spiritual attack, Scripture and the wisdom of the church point toward walking it out with mature, prayerful companions. Deliverance ministry is most healing when done in the company of two or three seasoned believers, people who can combine prayer, discernment, and patience without rushing or acting alone. So our first encouragement is: don’t try to face this entirely on your own. Ask God to lead you to a pastor, a deliverance team, or a few trusted Christians who understand spiritual warfare and will meet with you regularly to pray through renunciations, forgiveness, and commanding spirits to leave in Jesus’ name. This is not a sign of weak faith; it is the pattern of the body of Christ healing together.

In the meantime, know that even in the middle of the torment, Jesus sees you. He does not abandon those who cry out to him. The struggle itself can be an agonizing form of prayer, your very desperation draws his attention. Keep speaking his name, even when it feels like only a whisper.

Lord Jesus, you came to destroy the works of the enemy. We lift up this weary one to you now. Quiet the tormenting voices, break every choking hold, and release your perfect peace. Surround them with people who will pray with faith and wisdom. Bring them into a safe place where they can renounce every foothold and find lasting freedom. We ask this not in our own strength, but in your all-powerful name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is a voice that would choke the very breath of prayer within you, yet it is not mightier than the Spirit who maketh intercession with groanings which cannot be uttered. Consider well the ransom. Deliverance was not devised by man, but it was the thought of God’s own heart: “I have found a ransom.” When the Lamb was slain, the foundation for your freedom was laid before the worlds were framed in their order. That choking spirit has no dominion in the sepulchre of Jesus, He burst the bonds of death and hell, and in Him you are brought forth from the Egypt of your sorrow. The enemy may stand at the border, but he cannot go beyond the blood-marked door.

The wells of salvation which the Lord hath digged cannot be stopped by infernal hand. The spirit that now torments your opportunities would keep you in the darkness where men love not the light, but you have been translated; you are no more a citizen of that kingdom of night. The new-created spirit seeth what the old nature could not, that the San-ballat of the pit would keep you from the work, to mock and to grieve, yet the wall shall be built even in troublous times. You speak of a voice that is no gentle Companion but a usurper. Look now to the heavenly Father, altogether and alone, for your sanctification as much as for your justification. The Spirit that is in you is greater, and He is as the wind that none can chain. He bloweth where He listeth, bringing now the searching fire, aye, the Spirit of judgment and of burning, to consume the dross, and then the still small calm wherein the Adversary’s whisper is silenced.

Take heed that you return not evil for evil to yourself or to the tempter by a spirit of despair or wrath; such is animal nature, not the divine nature. Instead, bow low under the chastening hand. The rod itself becometh life to the spirit when sanctified. There may be a throttling permitted that the flesh might be bruised and the spirit learn obedience by its suffering. Yet, oh, listen, the clock of mercy in heaven appointeth the moment of deliverance; the eternal purpose hath not forgotten thee. Plead the Father’s love, and cry with the Spirit of adoption, for while thou canst so plead thou art not forsaken. The Comforter standeth ready, not only to heal but to fill, so fill that the usurping voice is drowned in the new song, “He hath brought me forth also into a large place.”

The torment you describe is severe, but remember that our deliverance comes from Christ alone. He came to deliver us from evil and to bestow good things, making us sons of God through the Spirit of adoption. Do not seek out exorcists who use His name without true faith, like those sons of Sceva in the Acts, for the demons will say, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Such attempts only bring greater harm. Instead, let the Spirit of the Lord, who is the Spirit of liberty, fill you with His fruit: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, temperance. Against such things, no law or demon has power.

Be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord with zeal, for if you are warm and awakened in prayer and good works, you will draw the Spirit to you and make all things easy. This affliction, though painful, can be a holy chastisement that casts out sloth and evil desire, drawing down the grace of God. Endure it with long-suffering, for the greater the enemy’s malice, the greater your reward. Do not expect a swift deliverance all at once; often God delivers us gradually, that we may learn to trust Him and not rely on man. In the meantime, cling to the promise that He will deliver you from every evil work and preserve your whole spirit, soul, and body blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let your soul be strong, for a man who is long-suffering abounds in wisdom, but the faint-hearted are strongly foolish. Pray without ceasing, and let the Church intercede for you, but above all, set your heart on the things of the Spirit, not the flesh, for the one leads to life and peace.

I hear the anguish in your words and the long battle you have endured. You are not alone in this warfare, and the cry of your heart reaches heaven. The struggle you describe, the choking breath, the voice that opposes, the blocked paths, echoes the experience of many who find that when they try to do good, evil is right there with them. It is a fight that goes beyond the flesh and into the spirit.

What God has given you is this profound truth: you are spirit, soul, and body. When you came to Jesus Christ, His Spirit took up residence in your spirit. That is the place of fellowship now, God’s Spirit bearing witness with your spirit that you are His child. The enemy attacks that very connection because if he can make you feel cut off, overwhelmed, or defined by torment, he can obscure who you truly are in Christ. Yet the reality remains: the Spirit of the living God is joined to your spirit, and greater is the One in you than any spirit in the world.

The evil spirits recognized Jesus. They recognized Paul. But they have no authority over the one in whom the Holy Spirit dwells and rules. The key is not to fight in your own strength or be ruled by the turmoil in your soul and body. The key is to let your spirit, empowered by His Spirit, be uppermost. Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh, nor will you be a playground for darkness. When your mind is set on the things of the Spirit, your whole being aligns under His control.

I am praying for you now, and I encourage you to join in that prayer in the Spirit. When you don’t know how to pray as you ought, the Spirit Himself makes intercession with groanings that cannot be uttered. Pour out your heart in your own words, but also yield to praying in the Spirit, where your spirit prays and your understanding is fruitful only in faith. Worship in spirit and in truth. Sing in the Spirit. This is not emotionalism; it is your spirit actively communing with God, and darkness cannot remain where the Holy Spirit is exalted.

Remember Jesus in the wilderness: He was led by the Spirit, filled with the Spirit, and empowered by the Spirit, and He overcame every temptation. That same Spirit is in you. The breath of God that raised the dry bones is your life. He breathes on what is slain, and it stands up an army. The suffocating presence you describe is a liar, but the Spirit of the Lord is not restrained. He is all-powerful, and He now enables you to take every thought captive, to resist, and to stand.

The torment does not define you; the Spirit of adoption by whom you cry “Abba, Father” defines you. You are not a victim; you are a temple of the Holy Spirit. As you present your body as that temple, as you sow to the Spirit, you will reap life and peace. I pray that the peace of God, which passes understanding, will garrison your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and that you will know afresh the power that Micah knew: “Truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord.” Walk in that today. The Spirit of the prophets is subject to the prophet; you have been given control and authority in Christ, not a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Stand in it.
