Excellence in Nursing Practice, Family Wisdom, Education & Employment Skills

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord, establish the work of my hands and let me walk in excellence. Give me accuracy and wisdom in my nursing practice, patience with my patient, and insight to meet every family’s needs. Let my nursing practice add value to nursing education and strengthen my knowledge, teaching, and professional skills. Grant me wisdom in family matters, excellence in communication, and the employment skills needed to serve faithfully and effectively. Every obstacle hindering my nursing practice, family relationships, learning, or employment growth, let it be nullified. “Establish thou the work of our hands.” — Psalm 90:17.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for your calling as a nurse, a profession that reflects Christ’s love through compassionate care and service. Your desire for excellence in nursing, wisdom in family matters, and growth in education and employment skills is noble and aligns with God’s Word. We join you in praying that the work of your hands would be established by the Lord, as Psalm 90:17 declares, "Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands."

Heavenly Father, we ask that You grant this sister in Christ accuracy and wisdom in her nursing practice. May she walk in the fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), and may her hands bring healing, comfort, and hope to those under her care. Lord, give her patience with every patient, seeing each one as You see them, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Fill her with insight to meet the needs of families, that she may be a vessel of Your peace and provision in times of distress.

We pray for her growth in nursing education and professional skills. May she be a lifelong learner, ever increasing in knowledge and understanding, as Proverbs 1:5 encourages, "A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels." Strengthen her ability to teach and mentor others, that she may pass on the wisdom and skills You have entrusted to her.

Lord, we also lift up her family to You. Grant her wisdom in all family matters, that her home may be a place of love, unity, and godly order. May her communication be seasoned with grace (Colossians 4:6), and may she lead her family with the same excellence and care she shows her patients. We rebuke every obstacle hindering her nursing practice, family relationships, learning, or employment growth. In the name of Jesus, we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every hindrance is nullified by the power of Your Spirit.

Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for her to serve faithfully and effectively. Equip her with the employment skills needed to advance in her career while maintaining a heart of humility and service. May her work bring glory to Your name, as Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

We also want to gently remind you, dear sister, that true excellence comes from walking closely with Jesus. If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your relationship with Him. Have you confessed your sins and placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet made this decision, we urge you to do so today. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is the foundation upon which all other blessings rest.

Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness to establish the work of her hands and to lead her in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake. May she walk in the fullness of Your purpose, bringing glory to You in every area of her life. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We are encouraged by the way you want to bring care and faithfulness to every area God has placed you in, especially at the bedside where accuracy and patience matter so much. Wanting your nursing to add value to others and to your own learning is a good and worthy desire.

We know nursing together with family and work responsibilities can feel stretched thin, and excellence can feel heavy when you are trying to grow in so many directions at once. It helps to remember your work is not just a private achievement but service offered to patients, families and colleagues, and doing it heartily for the Lord often shapes both skill and character over time.

One small step that often helps is choosing one focus at a time rather than carrying all of them at once. You might ask a trusted colleague or educator you respect to observe one area of practice and give honest feedback, and name one communication habit at home to practice this week, like pausing to listen fully before responding. Steady growth in those small places builds confidence for the larger callings.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. Grant steadiness of hand and mind in nursing care, wisdom and kindness in family conversations, and clarity as they learn and seek to serve well. Establish the work of their hands according to Your will and give peace in each day's duties. Amen.

It is a good and godly desire you have set before the Lord, that He would establish the work of your hands and cause you to walk in excellence for His glory. We join you in bringing this petition to the throne of grace, and we ask the Lord to hear it according to His abundant mercy in Christ Jesus.

Wisdom is man's true path, the compass by which we steer across the trackless waste of life, and where shall this wisdom be found. Not in our own wit or strength, for there is not much wisdom in man's judgment when he trusts in himself, but the price of wisdom is above rubies and it is found in Christ alone. He is the power of God and the wisdom of God, who planned the way of salvation and who still takes of the things of Christ and reveals them to His people by the Holy Spirit. As you seek accuracy and insight in your nursing practice, and skill in learning and teaching, look to Him who is made unto us Wisdom, and be as a disciple who is guided rather than one who leans upon his own understanding. He gives hallowed enthusiasm and clothes His servants with energy for every good work, so that even our common labors may add value to others and strengthen the knowledge of those we serve.

We pray also for your family, that the Lord would grant you excellence in communication and patience in all your dealings. The family is of the Lord's own ordering, and family piety is nourished where prayer is maintained and Christ is honored as Head. May the Lord make your home to be ordered in love and truth, and give you a discerning heart to meet every need with gentleness and faithfulness. And in your employment, may He grant you diligence like the miner who seeks with all his strength, yet with dependence upon God who alone establishes our steps.

We have prayed for you after this manner, that the Lord would fulfill that ancient prayer, Establish thou the work of our hands, yea, the work of our hands establish thou it, Psalm 90:17. May He grant you a steady hand and a clear mind in your nursing duties, patience with each patient committed to your care, growth in knowledge and in the ability to teach others, and grace to serve faithfully and effectively in your calling. Where obstacles hinder, we ask that in His sovereign wisdom He would remove what ought to be removed, and where trial remains, that He would turn it to advantage, for He foresees the benefit that shall spring from our griefs and orders all things in love for those who are His.

May the Lord keep you abiding in Christ, walking in the way of wisdom which is consistent with truth and righteousness, and may all you do be done heartily as unto Him, to whom be all praise.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your desire to walk in excellence in the work God has given you is pleasing to Him, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord.

I pray that the Lord will establish the work of your hands according to Psalm 90:17 and cause what you do to bear lasting fruit for His glory. May He grant you true wisdom, not the wisdom of this world which comes to nothing, but the wisdom that is hidden in Christ and revealed by His Spirit, so that you may practice nursing with accuracy, clear insight, and faithful care.

I ask God to give you patience and gentleness with each patient, and understanding to meet the needs of every family you serve. May He use your nursing practice to add value to others, to strengthen your knowledge, and to grow your gifts in teaching and in professional skill, so that your labor shows His excellence and power.

For your family, I pray the Lord will grant you wisdom, grace in communication, and love that builds up your household in godliness and kindness. For your learning and employment, I pray He will equip you with the skills, diligence, and faithfulness needed to serve well, and that you will give yourself wholly to what is good, blocking every idle and harmful distraction.

Where there are obstacles that hinder your growth in nursing, in family life, in learning, or in employment, I pray that God in His sovereign will would remove what should be removed, and give you strength to endure and overcome what remains, that you may continue to grow and be found faithful.

May the Lord keep you watchful and sober, diligent in the work before you, and may He let your whole life declare His glory. In the name of Jesus Christ, who is our wisdom and our righteousness, Amen.

Your desire to walk in excellence in your nursing practice, in your family, and in your learning and work is pleasing to the Lord, and He hears your prayer to establish the work of your hands according to Psalm 90:17.

Scripture teaches that wisdom is the principal thing, and with all your getting you should get understanding. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. That is where wisdom starts. Knowledge gives you facts, but wisdom is the proper application of knowledge. In nursing this matters greatly. You can have knowledge of procedures and medicines, yet wisdom is what enables you to apply that knowledge with accuracy, with patience toward your patient, and with insight to meet the needs of each family. If you must choose between mere knowledge and wisdom, choose wisdom, for wisdom will preserve you and keep you when knowledge alone cannot.

There are two kinds of wisdom. One is earthly wisdom that does not come from above. It is sensual and leads to envy and strife and it comes to nothing. The world by its wisdom did not know God, and God has made foolish the wisdom of this world. The other is the wisdom that comes from above, the true wisdom of God. You can recognize it by its fruit. It leads to purity and peace rather than sensuality and strife, and it produces the fruit of the Spirit in a life. In Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He is made unto us wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. To follow His wisdom in your family is to follow the principles He has given that build up the home and strengthen relationships, while neglecting them tears the family apart. In your communication and in your service, His wisdom will lead you to what is pure and faithful rather than to what is earthly.

Wisdom cries out openly and invites everyone to come and partake, as one who has prepared a banquet and calls all to come. She dwells with prudence and finds knowledge of good judgment. Wisdom is better than rubies and better than wealth, and all things that may be desired cannot be compared to it. Wisdom is a defense and gives life to those who have it, more than money can. The Lord by wisdom founded the earth and by understanding established the heavens, and the same Lord is able to establish the work of your hands. Like Solomon, who asked for wisdom rather than riches or fame and God was pleased to give him wisdom and also to add other blessings, you can ask God for wisdom and He will give generously.

May the Lord answer your prayer and establish the work of your hands. May He grant you wisdom and understanding for every decision in your nursing practice, give you accuracy in your work, patience with each patient, and insight to care for families well. May He cause your practice to add value to others through teaching and to strengthen your own knowledge and professional skill. May He grant you wisdom in family matters and excellence in communication, and equip you with the skills needed to serve faithfully and effectively in your employment. May He be your defense and your life, and may every obstacle that would hinder your growth in nursing, in family relationships, in learning, or in work be removed by His hand as you love wisdom, do not forsake her, and do with all your might whatever your hand finds to do.
