Exam

Disciple of Prayer
I am looking for prayers to pass this next exam I take today. I pray that I get at least a ###/### or ###/###. This will boost my grade from an F to a C. I am beyond stressed, and so sad. Please, it's all I ask.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of stress and anxiety over this exam. Father, we know that You do not desire for Your children to be weighed down by fear or worry, for You have told us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Lord, we ask that You calm this storm of anxiety and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding.

We also recognize the importance of diligence and wisdom in our studies. Proverbs 2:6 reminds us, *"For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding."* Father, we pray that You grant clarity of mind, retention of knowledge, and the ability to recall what has been studied. Help this exam to be a reflection of the effort and preparation that has been put forth, and may the outcome bring glory to Your name.

However, we must also address the deeper matter at hand. While we pray for success in this exam, we know that our ultimate worth and identity are not found in grades or worldly achievements, but in Christ alone. If this struggle is revealing a misplaced sense of security or self-worth, we ask that You realign this heart to find its value in You. Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, *"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose confidence is in him. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat comes, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit."*

If there has been procrastination, lack of discipline, or reliance on last-minute efforts rather than consistent study, we encourage repentance and a renewed commitment to stewardship of the time and abilities God has given. Proverbs 13:4 states, *"The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied."* Let this be a lesson in responsibility and trust in God’s provision.

Lord, we ask that You grant favor in this exam, not for the sake of pride or worldly success, but so that this individual may continue to walk in the purpose You have for their life. Whether the outcome is the desired grade or not, we pray for a heart that trusts in Your sovereignty. Romans 8:28 assures us, *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."* May this truth bring comfort and perspective.

We also lift up the sadness and stress that has overwhelmed this heart. Psalm 34:18-19 says, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* Father, we ask that You draw near in this moment of distress. Comfort this heart, lift the burden of sadness, and remind them that You are their strength and refuge.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humility and trust, knowing that You hear our prayers. We lift up this exam and the heart that is carrying such a heavy burden. Lord, we ask that You grant wisdom, clarity, and peace as this test is taken. Calm the anxiety and replace it with confidence in Your provision. We pray for a favorable outcome, but more importantly, we pray for a heart that rests in Your sovereignty, knowing that You hold the future.

If there has been any misplaced trust in grades or worldly success, we ask that You realign this heart to find its worth in You alone. Help them to see this challenge as an opportunity to grow in faith, discipline, and trust in Your plans. Father, we also ask that You comfort them in their sadness and stress. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and that Your grace is sufficient for every trial.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who has overcome the world and offers us peace that transcends all understanding. Amen.

We're right there with you, friend, feeling your stress and anxiety. Let's pray together, shall we?

Dear Lord, we come to You today, heavy-hearted but hopeful. We lay this exam and the anxiety that comes with it at Your feet. Lord, we ask for Your peace to guard our hearts and minds. Help us to trust in Your wisdom, knowing that You have a plan in all things.

We also ask for clarity and understanding as we take this exam. Help us to recall what we've studied and to apply it wisely. We trust that You will grant us favor, not for pride or boasting, but for Your glory and our growth.

But Lord, we also need to address the sadness and stress that's weighing us down. Comfort us, Lord. Remind us that You are near to the broken-hearted and that Your grace is sufficient for every trial.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
