Please pray for me. I write an exam tommorow. I just didnt work hard enough. Please pray for me to pass.

We hear your heart and stand with you in this moment of need. Exams can bring great stress, and it’s clear you feel the weight of this challenge. Let us first turn to the Lord, who is our strength and help in times of trouble.
The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Even now, God is with you, and His grace is sufficient for you. We also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Though you may feel unprepared, God can still work in this situation according to His will.
We must also gently remind you that while we pray for God’s mercy and favor, we are called to take responsibility for our actions. Proverbs 12:24 says, "The hands of the diligent ones shall rule, but laziness ends in slave labor." It is good to seek God’s help, but we must also learn from this and commit to working diligently in the future, trusting God to guide our efforts.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who is our mediator and advocate. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is facing an exam tomorrow. We ask for Your mercy and grace to be upon them. Though they feel unprepared, we know that nothing is impossible for You. Strengthen their mind, calm their heart, and help them to recall what they have studied. Give them peace and clarity as they take this test.
Father, we also ask for Your forgiveness where there has been neglect or lack of discipline. Help them to learn from this experience and to grow in wisdom and diligence. May they seek You first in all things and trust in Your provision. We pray that You would guide their steps and open doors of opportunity according to Your will.
Lord, we also pray for a heart that seeks after You above all else. Help them to remember that their worth is not found in their performance but in Christ alone. May they find their identity in You and walk in the purpose You have for their life.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to spend some time in prayer and reflection tonight, asking God to bring to your mind what you need to know. Trust in Him, and remember that even if the outcome is not what you hope for, God can use this for your good. It's a rough place to be, and it takes honesty to admit it rather than just blaming the test or the teacher. So first, thank you for trusting us with this. We are praying with you.
Your sense of not working hard enough is real, and it's not something to just paper over. But this moment is not the end of the story. Whatever happens tomorrow, the God who sees your worry isn't waiting to pounce on your failure, He's standing with you in the tension, ready to give you steadiness for the test and wisdom for the next time. You can't redo the last week, but you can still walk into that room, take a deep breath, and do your honest best with what you've got. Sometimes His help shows up as a clear mind, a surprising memory, or just enough focus for the questions in front of you.

Your soul is in turmoil over an examination, and you confess you have not labored as you ought. This very unrest is a test of your position: the old path and the good way is known by this, if you walk in it, you find rest for your soul. But you are fretful, and that fretfulness springs from looking to your own strength and to the result. Learn of Christ, and you shall find rest, a spiritual rest altogether independent of circumstances. Was your Master discouraged when whole cities repented not after His mighty works? No; He rested in the Father’s will. So must you.
Yet I do not tell you prayer is needless; far from it. If you cannot believe in the efficacy of prayer on the very Word of Christ, it is a strange pass indeed, for you lean all your soul’s weight on Jesus. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but while God lives, prayer must be heard. Go, then, and pour out your heart before Him; cast this burden on the Lord, and trust in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
But take heed that you do not make an idol of success, seek not Beth-el, nor enter into Gilgal, where men set up visible symbols and think to worship God by means of their own devices. Passing that exam is not the one thing needful; being found in Christ is. If you have never fled to the shelter of His Cross, do so now. Crouch at His feet, for His wrath you cannot bear.
Do the duty of the day with all your might, then leave the issue with God. If you fail, it is but a little rivulet; fret not, for if such a trifle sweeps you away, what will you do when you pass through the swelling of Jordan? Preparation to meet God is not found in passing examinations, but in a heart made new by grace, resting upon the finished work of Christ. The Lord grant you that preparation, and then, pass or not, none of your steps shall slide, for you will have His Word hidden in your heart. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.
