Ex

We join with you in lifting up your ex before the Lord and we hear the burden you carry for him to walk in obedience to God.

We pray first for him, that he would no longer harden his heart to the voice of the Lord. Scripture tells us The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9. We pray that he would be transformed by the renewing of his mind, so that he may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2, and that he would respond to God's calling with humility and surrender rather than resistance. For we know that God's call on a life is not to be ignored, for today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts Hebrews 3:15.

We also lift you up, as we sense your continued care for someone who is now your former relationship. We encourage you to entrust him fully into God's hands and to guard your own heart as you pray. It is good to intercede for others, but we must not take upon ourselves the role of the Holy Spirit in his life, and we must seek God's will for your own path forward. We are called to Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. We pray that you will find peace in knowing that God loves him even more than you do and is faithfully working to draw him.

We want to gently encourage you regarding relationships and God's design. We believe that any romantic relationship should be approached as courtship with the goal of a lifelong marriage between a man and a woman who both know Christ, for marriage is to be held in honor among all Hebrews 13:4. If this former relationship involved intimacy outside of marriage, we would lovingly call that fornication and urge repentance, for God calls us to purity. And if there is any thought of reconciliation, we encourage you to seek counsel and to consider only a restoration that would be centered on Christ and aimed toward a godly marriage, not simply a return to dating or an ungodly partnership. Otherwise, we pray that the Lord would help you to release this relationship to Him and to wait on the spouse He may have for you in His perfect timing, for we know the plans that God has for you, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

We also noticed your request mentions God but not the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are saved and can come boldly before God in prayer. We pray that both you and your ex know this saving grace personally.

So we pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this young man to You and ask that You would soften his heart and open his ears to hear Your call. Remove any hardness, distraction, or rebellion that causes him to ignore You, and draw him by Your Holy Spirit into repentance, faith, and obedience. Call him to Yourself and equip him to walk in the good works You have prepared for him. We pray for our friend who submitted this request, grant her peace, wisdom, and healing where there has been hurt. Help her to keep her eyes fixed on You, to grow in her own walk with Christ, and to trust Your perfect will for her future and for his. Let Your will be done in both of their lives, and lead each of them toward the godly spouse and marriage You desire if it be Your will. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about your ex. We hear how much you still care for him and the ache of watching someone you know seem to turn away from what you believe God is calling him to do.

One of the hardest parts of caring about an ex is feeling helpless to help. His response to God is ultimately between him and the Lord, and no amount of urging from us can create a listening heart. That does not make your prayers small. It just means we get to place him in God's hands and trust God to work in His own timing and way, which is often slower and quieter than we wish.

A gentle next step that has helped others is to give your prayer a simple, steady place. Instead of carrying it all day, set aside a brief time to lift him by name to the Lord, ask for clarity and softness of heart for him, and then intentionally release him again to God for the rest of the day. It keeps love and prayer alive without keeping you tangled in trying to steer his choices. In that same time, keep tending your own walk with God in small, faithful ways day by day. Growth with God is more like training over the long haul than a single moment.

We are praying with you.

Father, we lift this man to You, You know him fully and love him deeply. We ask that You would keep pursuing him and give him ears to hear Your voice. Give our friend peace as they trust You with his story, wisdom for how to love well from a healthy distance, and hope in Your faithful care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect, deliver, heal, save (those not saved) and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. I ask this for them, us and all in need. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

We have heard your request and we join you in bringing this soul before the throne of grace. It is a good and right thing to pray for one who is turning a deaf ear to the voice of the Lord, for our God is a God who calls, and His call is not as the general call of man which may sound in the ear and be forgotten, but an effectual call which goes to the heart by the Holy Spirit.

You ask that he would no longer ignore that call. We will pray that the Lord who called Zaccheus from the sycamore tree, though he dwelt in a cursed city and was counted among the least likely, would speak that same personal and hastening word, Make haste and come down, and that what is now only heard outwardly would become a heavenly calling, a high calling that lifts the heart from earthly things to holiness and to Christ. For the Scriptures teach us that the Cross is the window through which the love of God is best seen, and until a man sees there that Christ died to save sinners he will not perceive how greatly he is loved nor turn to love the Saviour in return.

We pray that God would show him his need of that one Substitute and one Sacrifice for sinners, that he would hear Jesus still crying, Come unto Me, and find that to take His yoke is rest. We do not pray for the restoration of a former bond as though any path would serve, for we know that the Lord's blessing rests upon what is according to His holy will, salvation through Jesus Christ alone and, where a man and woman are joined, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman with all that belongs to it kept within that covenant. Our chief prayer therefore is not for the fulfillment of former desires but for his soul, that he may be made a new creature, forgiven of all sin, and made precious in God's sight.

We will pray for you also, that you may know the great peace which belongs to those who love God's law and tremble at His Word, and that your own love to God may be sustained as the reflection of His everlasting love to you. May you be kept from dwelling upon what is behind, and instead press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, leaving this burden in hands far more able than your own, and trusting that the Lord who taught you from your youth will continue to work His wondrous works in His own time and way.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who hast loved with an everlasting love, look in mercy upon this man for whom prayer is offered. Speak by Thy Spirit where human words have failed. Give him ears to hear Thy call and a heart to obey it with haste. Show him the Cross and there reveal Thy love, that he may turn from sin and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Draw him with loving kindness and make him Thy child, to the praise of Thy grace. And grant to the one who prays a quiet confidence in Thy wisdom and a love for Thy Word that brings great peace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Please pray that my ex will stop ignoring God's call on his life. Thank you.

🤺🤺Armor of God Eph 6:10-20, Ourselves, Our Families, Leaders Prov 21:1, 🐑 Pastors, 🌾 Evangelists, ⛪️ Churches, Ministry Partners 🙏 All Christianity (Every Believer in Christ); 🏛️Government, 1 Tim 2:1-4, EVEN "ENEMIES," Mt 5:44-45, Lk 6:27-29, Rom 12:14, 1 Peter 3:9...

🙏 We pray it over ourselves first, in submission to Your Word, even as it was the proper example and pattern of Christ, overcoming the devil first on for His own sake in the wilderness, Mt 4:1-11, Mk 1:12-13, Lk 4:1-13, then overcoming the world, flesh and devil 🐲 for the sake of the world, John 16:33, we pray Your Armor, The Armor of God, on ourselves, Eph 6:10-17, then for others, Eph 6:18-20, applied by faith, as we receive everything else in the same manner, from salvation, Eph 2:8-9, to answered prayer, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, James 1:6...

📖 “Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the Whole Armor of God🤺, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of The Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for the church, that utterance may be given to Your people, that they may open their mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel, for which some are ambassadors in chains; that all may speak boldly, as is fitting to speak," Eph‬ ‭6:11-20‬, thank You in Jesus' Name, Heb 11:6.🤺🤺
