We have heard your request and we are standing with you in prayer together in Jesus' name, asking for God's protection, peace and strength over you.

What you have endured is not God's design for love or for relationships. Scripture teaches that love is patient and is kind, love does not behave itself inappropriately and does not act with violence or cruelty as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-5. Abuse in any form is sin against God and against the one made in His image, and the Lord sees your pain and does not take it lightly. We thank you for having the courage to set a boundary to not have contact, and we affirm that seeking safety and distance from an abusive person is both wise and biblical. Forgiveness in Christ does not require restoring contact or putting yourself back in harm's way.

We pray that the Lord will be your refuge and your shield. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 34:18 reminds us The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. We ask God to place a hedge of protection around you, to keep your ex from contacting you, and to give you supernatural peace if any attempt is made.

We also join you in praying for strength to not respond, no matter what is said or how you may feel in the moment. God honors healthy boundaries and self control. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Philippians 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We pray He will give you clarity and resolve to remain silent, to not be drawn back into manipulation or guilt, and to keep your heart guarded as Proverbs 4:23 teaches to guard your heart with all diligence.

We also want to encourage you to stay connected to safe and godly support around you, whether that is trusted family, a pastor, a counselor, or other wise believers who can walk with you, pray with you, and help you remain accountable to this boundary. If you ever feel unsafe or threatened, we encourage you to reach out for help right away to trusted people and to the proper authorities for protection. You do not have to carry this alone.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by putting our faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are saved and brought near to God. We pray you know Him personally as your Savior and refuge.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask for Your divine protection, that this abusive ex would have no way and no desire to make contact again, and that any attempt would be blocked by Your hand. Give her strength, courage and self control to not respond at all, no matter what words might come or what emotions may rise. Quiet the fear, the guilt and the trauma with Your perfect love that casts out fear. Heal the wounds that abuse has left on her heart and mind, restore what has been broken, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Surround her with godly people who will support and protect her, and lead her in wisdom each day. Help her to rest in You as her refuge and to trust that You are near to the brokenhearted. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our strength, amen.

We are so thankful you reached out to us, and we hear how important this boundary is to you. Wanting no further contact and asking God for strength not to respond is a brave and wise desire after abuse, and we want to stand with you in it.

It makes sense that you would feel on edge wondering if he might reach out, and also determined to protect your peace. You are not weak for needing support to stay firm. Healing from abuse often takes time and steady support from safe people, not just willpower alone.

One step that many find helpful alongside prayer is to make a simple plan ahead of time with someone you trust, like a pastor, counselor, or advocate. That could include how your phone and messages are set to block contact, who you will call instead if a message does come through, and where to turn for safety or legal guidance if you need it. If you have not already, we encourage you to reach out to a trusted advocate or counselor in your area as well as continuing in prayer.

Father, in Jesus name we lift our sister to You. We ask for Your protection over her and for quiet and safety in her days ahead. When fear or pressure rises, give her clear strength to keep the boundary she has set and to turn to safe help. Surround her with caring people who will walk with her and remind her she is valued and not alone. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we join you in prayer before the Lord for your safety and peace. It is right to seek deliverance from what has wounded you, and to ask for a steadfast heart that will not be drawn back into harm.

Human strength is measurable and will spend itself in due time, but Divine strength never fails and abides in joyous fullness. The promise stands, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. When there remains no strength in you, nor any ability of any kind, then you may fling yourself upon the Divine strength and lay hold upon it. He is the glory of your strength, and when all your own strength fails you, your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble. For all the battles which shall disturb you between here and Heaven, your strength is found in God Himself, and you may sweetly say, Jehovah is my strength and my song, He also has become my salvation.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy would keep this man from contacting you again, and that He would set a hedge about you and give you quietness. And if contact should come, we pray that God will give you firm and settled strength to not respond at all, no matter what is said or promised. May He grant you wisdom to guard your heart and your ways, to take heed how you hear, and to walk away from words that would subvert and wound you again. Seek the help of faithful pastors and trusted friends around you, that you may not stand alone in this trial.

We pray also for your healing, for He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. There is no balm in Gilead apart from Christ, but there is balm at the Cross and one great Physician at the right hand of God whose leaves are for the healing of the wounded. May you find renewal as you wait upon Him, and know with unstaggering confidence that He has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you, and that no trial beyond which this promise will not carry you if by faith you grasp it. May the Lord daily renew your strength and keep you in perfect peace under His wing.
