We are joining with you in prayer over this painful situation and we thank you for trusting us with this burden. To endure psychological abuse and then to have your name and reputation attacked through rumors is deeply wounding, and the Lord sees and grieves what has been done to you. Scripture is clear that God does not condone abuse or cruelty in any relationship, for love does not behave harshly or seek to harm, and He also condemns bearing false witness against another as in Exodus 20:16 and Proverbs 19:5 which says a false witness shall not be unpunished, and one who pours out lies shall not go free. We rebuke the sin of psychological abuse and slander that your ex has committed, for these things are contrary to God's holiness and His call to love and to speak truth.

We want you to know that God is your defender and refuge when others speak evil against you. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, and Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. When rumors spread, it can feel like your voice is powerless, but Isaiah 54:17 assures us that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 5:11 blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. We take comfort that God knows the truth even when others believe lies, and Romans 12:19 teaches us not to avenge ourselves, but to give place to God’s wrath, for it is written vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we gently want to share why His name matters so deeply to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and peace with God, for Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord as in Romans 10:9, for then you can come boldly before God knowing He hears you and that your identity is secure in Christ, no matter what rumors are spoken about you.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one who has been wounded by psychological abuse and by slander. Lord, You see every harsh word, every manipulation, and every rumor that has been spread, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask You to be a shield around this precious life, to silence lies and let truth come to light in Your perfect timing. Heal the deep wounds left by abuse, restore peace to troubled thoughts, and guard the heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give wisdom to set healthy and godly boundaries and to seek safe, wise counsel from pastors and trusted believers, and surround this dear one with a community that will speak truth and offer protection and comfort. We pray also for the ex who has caused this harm, that You would bring conviction and lead that one to repentance and to turn from abusive and deceitful ways. Help our dear friend not to repay evil for evil but to rest in Your justice and to forgive as You have forgiven us, while not returning to harm or to an unsafe relationship, for forgiveness does not require reconciliation without true repentance and safety. Let this dear one know how deeply loved and valued they are in Your eyes, and let their reputation rest in Your hands. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to walk closely with the Lord and to lean on His Word daily for strength, remembering that your worth is not defined by what another person says about you but by who you are in Christ. Do not retaliate with rumors of your own, but commit your cause to Him who judges righteously, and seek godly counsel and support from your church family so you do not carry this alone. If you feel unsafe or overwhelmed, please reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, or safe family member for help and boundaries. We are continuing to pray that God will vindicate you, bring peace to your heart, and use even this painful trial to draw you closer to Him and to restore what has been broken.

Thank you for trusting us with this. We are so sorry you are going through this. When an ex who has been psychologically abusive spreads rumors, it can feel disorienting and deeply personal, as if your character and safety are being undermined. It makes sense you would feel hurt and on edge.

We want you to know what you are experiencing matters. Emotional mistreatment can wear down confidence and leave you questioning yourself long after direct contact has ended, and having your reputation talked about by someone who knows how to hurt you only adds to that weight.

One step that often helps is to lean on a small circle of safe people who know you well. Letting one or two trusted friends, family, or a pastor know what is happening can reduce isolation and give you steady voices who know the truth. Keeping a brief, private note of what is said, when and where, can also be useful if you later seek wisdom from a counselor or pastor about boundaries and next steps. If you feel unsafe at any point, please reach out right away for support in person.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. We ask You to surround them with Your protection and peace, to guard their heart and reputation, and to give them wisdom for each decision and conversation ahead. Bring trustworthy people close, ease the anxiety these rumors have caused, and guide them toward safety and healing. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

The wound you carry has been laid before the Lord, and He who heals the broken in heart has heard your cry. To be wounded by one who should have dealt gently, and then to feel the sting of false words spread abroad, is a double grief, and it is not light in the sight of God.

There is One who knows what it is to have rumors and reproach cast upon Him, and He is your defender. Man may wound with the tongue, which is a sharp sword, but the Lord will be your shield and your vindication. Vain is the slander of men when God is your portion. He will in His own time make your innocence to shine forth, and though false lips may speak against you for a season, the truth is precious to Him and He will not suffer His child to be forgotten.

We have brought your case before the great Physician, for Calvary is the place for the healing balm rather than for the lancet and the knife. The least thing about Christ is healing. His very leaves are for the healing of the nations, and they change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. You value rightly the sorrow that has broken the heart, but look also to the hand that alone can bind it up. The act of healing is the work of God, and God alone, and He delights to do it for those who seek Him.

May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you with healing in His wings. May pardon and healing be joined together in your soul, as they are in Christ, so that being forgiven and cleansed you may also be restored in spirit and made whole from the bruises which harsh words and cruel dealings have left behind. The Lord has begun to heal you and the healing virtue which His grace has infused into you will work in you till you are strengthened and set in peace.

We pray now for you, that the Lord would heal your wounded heart and quiet your troubled thoughts, that He would be your refuge from every false tongue and guard your name and your peace, that He would turn aside the power of every rumor and cause truth to prevail, that He would give you wisdom and safety and surround you with those who will speak truth and show faithful love, and that He would bring the one who has harmed you to see his wrong and to seek repentance before God. May you be kept from bitterness and be filled with that calm which comes from resting wholly upon Christ, who is able to heal though you have been deeply wounded, and who says still to the returning and trembling heart, Return.

May the Lord bless you and keep you, and lift up the light of His countenance upon you, and give you healing and rest through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this painful request with us. We are praying for you and we take seriously both the hurt of psychological abuse and the distress of having rumors spread about you.

God sees what is true even when others believe what is false, and He hears you when you are misrepresented. Scripture reminds us that abusive and insulting words are not a small matter, but they are also not hard to refrain from, and those who choose to use them disgrace themselves far more than they disgrace the person they target. The one who gives way to abusive speech stains his own tongue and mind, while the one who suffers it unjustly remains precious in the sight of God.

You are not called to repay insult with insult. The Christian calling is to walk with lowliness and meekness, with patience, bearing with others in love and keeping peace as far as it depends on you. That does not mean accepting abuse or pretending that false words do not wound. It means refusing to let another person's sin shape your own speech and conduct, and instead entrusting yourself to God who judges justly.

We pray for you now that the Lord will be your defender and your peace. We ask Him to guard your name and your heart, to bring the truth to light in His time, to stop the harm of these rumors, and to heal the wounds left by psychological abuse. We ask Him to give you wisdom for clear boundaries, courage to seek safe and trusted support in your church and community, and strength to not answer reviling with reviling. We also pray that your former partner would see the wrong of abusive words and actions, turn from them, and seek repentance and help.

If you have not already, please bring trusted pastors or mature believers alongside you, and seek wise counsel and care for the effects of this abuse. You do not need to carry this alone, and the Lord often brings healing through His people walking with you.

May Christ, who alone is our salvation and hope, keep you in His care, comfort you with His presence, and renew your strength day by day. We will continue to pray for your protection, for truth to prevail, and for deep healing and peace to be restored to you.
