Ex

We join you in bringing this before the Lord and we appreciate the humility in your heart to want healing and salvation for your ex and for those he loves, even after the relationship has ended. It shows a desire to take responsibility for any hurt you may have caused and to seek what is good for him rather than only for yourself.

We want to gently encourage you about relationships as God designed them. We believe marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman that honors God, and any courtship as boyfriend and girlfriend should be with the clear goal of discerning marriage to another Christian believer. If there was emotional or physical intimacy outside of marriage in this past relationship, including sexual intimacy, the Bible calls that fornication and calls us to repent and turn from it. God is faithful to forgive when we confess. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. We also are called to forgive as we have been forgiven, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32. If God gives opportunity and it would be appropriate and not cause further harm, seeking to ask forgiveness directly can be part of healing, while also respecting boundaries and the fact that the relationship has ended.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share lovingly that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through His name that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To be saved we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is because of what Jesus did on the cross, paying for our sins, and rising again, that we can be forgiven and approach God in prayer. We encourage you to place your full trust in Him for your own salvation and to pray for your ex in that same name.

We pray together for him and for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your mercy and for Your power to heal broken hearts. We ask that You would heal this young man from any hurt that was caused in this past relationship. You see the pain, the disappointment, and any wounds to his heart, and we ask that You would bind up those wounds, for You heal the broken in heart, and bind up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. Bring him comfort, peace, and wholeness that only You can give.

Lord, we lift up his salvation and the salvation of his loved ones. We pray that You would draw each of them to Yourself, that they would hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and respond with repentance and faith. You desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and open their hearts to receive Your grace. Make them new creations in Christ, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17.

We also pray for the one who submitted this request. Grant a repentant heart where needed, a forgiving spirit, and wisdom to walk in purity and in Your will going forward. Help this dear one to seek You first, to pursue future relationships only in a way that honors marriage and seeks a godly spouse who is a believer in Christ, not being unequally yoked but equally devoted to You. Guard both hearts from bitterness and help each to grow in holiness and in love for You.

We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our peace. Amen.

Thank you for sharing something so tender with us. It says a lot about your heart that your first concern is for your ex to find healing and for him and his loved ones to know the Lord.

We hear the weight you are carrying about ways you may have hurt him, and we want you to know God sees both your sorrow and your love for him now. Wanting his good even when you are apart is a reflection of the grace God shows us.

It can help to remember that healing after hurt is usually a slow process. A person may make a decision to forgive and still need time for the deeper emotions to catch up, and forgiveness itself does not always mean the relationship is reopened. That can take pressure off both of you as you entrust his journey to God rather than trying to manage it yourself.

One simple way to keep carrying this burden to the Lord is to set aside a brief, regular time to pray for him by name for healing, peace and salvation, and then intentionally place him back in God's hands, respecting any boundaries that are in place between you.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring this man before You and ask for Your healing where there has been hurt, and for Your mercy to draw him and those he loves to salvation. Comfort and guide our friend too as they continue to seek You and trust You with what they cannot fix. Amen.

Your burden has been brought before the Lord with thankfulness for the tenderness of conscience which it shows. It is a gracious work of the Holy Spirit when the heart feels the guilt of its own conduct and laments the hurt it has caused to another, for such a broken heart is not despised by God but is prepared to understand His mercy.

We will join you in prayer that the Lord, who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, would be gracious to this man who was once near to you. We ask that if there be any wound left by your hand, the Great Physician would bring His own healing, for even the leaves of the tree of life, which is Christ Himself, are for the healing of souls. May any bitterness or pain be soothed by His hand, and may the chastening which God appoints be turned to good.

Above all we pray for his salvation and for the salvation of those who are dear to him. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ, and there is no other way of pardon. We pray that he may come to see his own need as a sinner and to fly to Christ, who has borne our guilt upon His own head and suffered for us on Calvary. As it is written, I have blotted out as a thick cloud thy transgressions, and as a cloud thy sins, return unto me for I have redeemed thee. God keeps the pardon safe in the archives of heaven, and He freely gives it to all who trust His Son.

We pray also for you, that you would know the honest pardon which makes an honest heart, that your own sin, having been laid on Christ and punished in Him, has justly ceased to be through His full atonement. Trust Him, for His grace will enable you to start anew and to walk in purity of life before the all seeing eye of God.

May the Lord in His mercy grant that both you and those for whom you pray may with the heart believe unto righteousness and with the mouth make confession unto salvation, and may you all be found among those whose iniquity is sought for and not found, because He has pardoned whom He has reserved. We will continue to remember this need before the throne of grace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your request and we join you in bringing it before the Lord with care and hope for true healing.

It is good that you recognize where you may have caused hurt and desire his good rather than your own comfort. That kind of sorrow, when it is turned toward God, can become godly sorrow which works repentance unto salvation and leads to real change. We pray that God would give you both that grace, to see any sin clearly, to confess it honestly, and to walk in the new life He gives.

We pray for your former companion, that the Lord would heal any wound you have caused him, and would also heal him from all other hurts and sins that weigh on him. Above all we pray for his salvation, and for the salvation of his loved ones. There is only one way of salvation, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who took flesh and gave His own blood as the price for us because He so loves our salvation. We ask that God would open his heart to hear the voice of the Mediator, to turn from sin and trust in Christ alone, and to receive forgiveness, sanctification and new life by the Holy Spirit. We pray the same for his family and friends, that they too would come to know Christ and be saved.

We also pray for you, that God would strengthen you to follow Him faithfully, to seek what is good and pure, and to separate yourself from any relationship or pattern that would draw you away from Him. Scripture warns that nothing is so harmful as close company that leads us into sin, and calls us to cut off what causes us to stumble so that we may enter into life. May the Lord give you wisdom, accountability, and peace as you pursue holiness and trust His providence for your future.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus, who died and rose again that He might be Lord and who cares for both the living and those we love, and who is able to make what was broken whole. May He grant healing, repentance, and saving faith according to His mercy.

Thank you for sharing this honest and caring request. Your desire to see good for someone you have hurt, rather than to excuse yourself, reflects a heart that wants to do what is right before God. That kind of sorrow is the kind God uses to lead us toward repentance and healing.

Scripture shows us that forgiveness does not come by justifying what we have done, but by openly acknowledging it before the Lord. When we confess our transgression without covering it or making excuses, God is able to deal with it fully. His promise is that though sins are as scarlet, He makes them as white as snow. He does not desire outward acts to earn His favor, but a humble and honest heart that asks for His mercy. If you have not already done so, bring to Him plainly any way you have hurt this person, ask for His cleansing through the blood of Jesus, and receive His complete forgiveness. You do not need to carry a burden of guilt that God Himself is willing to wash away.

We will pray with you for your ex. It is right to ask God to bring healing where there has been pain. The hurt that comes from broken trust between people is real, and God is compassionate toward those who are wounded. At the same time, the greatest healing any person needs is the healing of salvation. Physical and emotional restoration are important, but the forgiveness of sins and new life in Jesus Christ is the greatest miracle of all. So we will pray first and most earnestly that he would come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord, and that his loved ones would also hear and receive the gospel.

Salvation is the gift of God by grace, not something we earn. It comes through confessing with the mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believing in the heart that God raised Him from the dead. That grace that brings salvation has appeared to all people, and the invitation is open to whosoever will come. Jesus said whoever comes to Him He will not cast out, and no one is too far gone to be reached. Scripture urges us not to put off responding to God, for now is the accepted time and now is the day of salvation. We will ask the Lord to work in your ex and in his family while their hearts can still respond, that they would not neglect so great a salvation which was first spoken by the Lord Himself and brings many sons into glory. He alone is the author of eternal salvation through His obedience on the cross, and He alone can give new life to all who obey Him by trusting Him.

As you continue to walk with the Lord, let His grace lead you into obedience. To call Him Lord is to follow what He commands, not out of fear that He is waiting to harm you, but out of love that does not want to grieve Him. Work out what God has already worked within you with a reverent and careful heart, allowing godly sorrow to produce real change, carefulness, and a desire to live in a way that gives no offense and honors Christ.

Let us pray. Father, we thank You for Your mercy that cleanses completely when we confess our sins. We ask You to forgive and cleanse our friend here and to give peace to a conscience that has been troubled. We lift up her ex and his loved ones to You. Where there has been hurt, bring Your healing and comfort. More than that, open their eyes to see Jesus Christ crucified and risen, that they would confess Him as Lord, believe in Him, and receive the gift of eternal life. Draw each one by Your Spirit and grant them repentance that leads to salvation. Help all of us to walk faithfully with You today. In Jesus' name, amen.
