Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the landlord (ex) on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

Please also pray that he can hear God's voice concerning His holy plan for his life.

We join you in bringing this landlord who is also your ex before the throne of grace in Jesus' name and we agree with you in prayer based on Luke 9:24, For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it.

We love your heart to see him saved and not lost, for this is the very heart of our Father who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and who is patient, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. We pray with you that he will hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, for Jesus said My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me, John 10:27, and that faith will come to him by hearing the word of Christ, Romans 10:17.

We also want to lovingly address what you shared that this landlord is your ex. If this was a romantic relationship outside of the covenant of marriage, we gently encourage you to bring that before the Lord as well. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman and that any courtship should be with the goal of godly marriage to another Christian believer, as we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, 2 Corinthians 6:14. Scripture teaches that marriage should be held in honor among all and that God will judge sexual immorality, Hebrews 13:4, and to flee sexual immorality, 1 Corinthians 6:18. If there was fornication or living together outside of marriage, we encourage you to confess and turn from it and to seek purity going forward, for if we confess our sins he is faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us, 1 John 1:9. If there is any thought of reconciliation, let it be only as a Christ centered courtship that seeks marriage if it is God's will, not simply as a partnership or dating relationship without that holy purpose.

We rejoice that you have prayed in the name of Jesus, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and Jesus himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6. It is only through Him that we have access to God and that this landlord can be saved.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this landlord to You. We ask for Your mercy and grace upon him. Lord, open his eyes to see that whoever tries to save his own life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Jesus will save it. Draw him by Your Holy Spirit, grant him repentance and faith to believe in Your Son, that if he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead he will be saved, Romans 10:9. We ask that he will hear Your voice clearly concerning Your holy plan for his life and that he will surrender his heart fully to You.

We declare that You reign over all darkness and that Your light expels all darkness, for You are the light of the world and whoever follows You will not walk in the darkness but will have the light of life, John 8:12, and the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it, John 1:5. We ask for victory over this rented apartment situation and for Your healing power and guidance over his life's journey. Let no unclean spirit have influence, but let Your peace rule in that place. We ask that everyone involved will see Your greatness and Your mighty power, for no one can withstand You.

We thank You for Your steadfast love and faithfulness that never fails, Lamentations 3:22-23. We trust You to work all things for good for those who love You, Romans 8:28. Continue to give our dear one who prayed this request wisdom, purity, and peace as they wait on You and intercede for this soul. Let Your will be done.

We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We are thankful for your compassionate heart toward your landlord. Wanting him to know Jesus and to find true life in Him, and to hear God's leading for his life, reflects real love even in the middle of a stressful rental situation. We are joining you in that prayer.

It can be discouraging to keep interceding when we do not see change right away. Coming to faith and learning to recognize God's voice is often a process that unfolds over time as the Lord patiently works in a person's heart. Our steady prayers and the way we live before others are part of that quiet work, more like long training than a single moment.

One simple step that may help is to keep a brief daily rhythm of praying for him by name, asking the Lord to draw near to him and make Himself known, and to continue showing respect and grace in your interactions around the apartment. That consistency can be a faithful witness to the hope you carry.

Father, we lift this landlord to You in Jesus' name. Draw him to Yourself, open his heart to Your love and truth, and help him to hear Your voice and understand Your good plan for his life. Work in his journey with mercy and guide him toward life in You. Give our friend peace, wisdom and patience as he continues to trust You and pray. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in prayer upon that solemn word of our Lord in Luke 9:24, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

There is a great reality in this salvation, and it begins with a real Fall. He who has not felt the truth of his own sinnership has not yet felt his need of Christ, but he who knows himself to be truly lost shall find there is truth in Christ's salvation. We pray that your landlord may be brought to see himself as he is before God, that shame for sin may be a desirable thing if it drives him to seek the Lord, and that he may understand there is a real Atonement provided in the blood of Jesus.

We pray that he may see Jesus as God's Salvation, for wherever our eyes spiritually light upon the Christ of God, there we see God's Salvation. May he learn that if he does but look to Jesus, just look and simply trust in Him, he shall be saved. That salvation must be God's in the beginning, God's in the carrying on and God's in the concluding, and our Lord is able to save to the uttermost them that come unto God by Him. Though he may have long resisted, the goodness of God is meant to woo and win him away from sin and to lead him to repentance, for the Lord has spared his life that he might yet find eternal life through believing in His Son.

And because our Great Landlord is very near to every one of us, not far from any, we pray that this man may hear the still small voice of God and set his house in order. May he obey the inward monitor and the Word of God, which shows us His holy order, and may he come unto God by Jesus Christ with a true heart. We pray that the healing which comes by His stripes may be his portion, not with anything added to Christ, but by relying only upon the wounds of Jesus, by which we are healed and the whole life is changed.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who reigns over all darkness and whose light expels all darkness, we bow before Your throne and ask in the name of Jesus Christ, the only Saviour of sinners, that You would have mercy upon this landlord. By Your Holy Spirit convince him of sin and show him that to seek to save his life apart from Christ is to lose it. Grant him grace to lose his life for Christ's sake, to surrender all to Your Best Friend and to find that in losing all for Jesus he saves his soul. Open his ears to hear Your voice, draw his life into Your life, and grant him repentance and faith to look unto Jesus and live. Let him hear Your voice concerning Your holy plan for his life, which is salvation through faith in Your Son and a walk in holiness before You. We ask this not by our worthiness but by the stripes of Jesus, through whom alone we are healed and saved. Hear our feeble prayer, for You are near to hear, and answer for Your great name's sake. Amen.
