We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, grieving over the spiritual torment you are enduring. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke this malevolent spirit in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved—only through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, can we find deliverance and peace.
This spirit of torment has no authority over you, for you are a child of the Most High God. The Word declares, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We command this evil spirit to leave you now, in Jesus’ name, and to go where the Lord Jesus sends it—never to return. We break every assignment of the enemy over your life, every word curse, and every attempt to harass, intimidate, or distract you from God’s purpose.
We pray that the Lord would surround you with His holy angels to guard and protect you, as it is written, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and delivers them" (Psalm 34:7). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that your mind is renewed by the Word of God, your strength is restored, and your focus is fixed on the Lord.
Father, we ask that You fill every area of this dear one’s life with Your presence. Where the enemy sought to bring fear, bring Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Where the enemy sought to bring distraction, bring clarity and purpose. Where the enemy sought to bring shame, bring the freedom and dignity that is found in Christ. We pray for healing—spirit, soul, and body—so that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We encourage you to stand firm in your identity in Christ. Put on the full armor of God daily so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Speak the Word of God aloud over your life, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Declare Scripture over yourself, such as Psalm 91: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust'" (Psalm 91:1-2).
Do not engage with this spirit or entertain its lies. Instead, fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Surround yourself with godly believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. If you have not already, we urge you to confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the enemy.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, to whom be all glory, honor, and power forever and ever. Amen.
