We join with you in prayer in Jesus' name as you walk through these evil days and we hear your cry for rest, for help with important appointments, for favor in reaching the doctor for documentation, for the storms to cease, and for justice and protection from those who have attacked and persecuted you.
We are reminded that the days are indeed evil and we are called to walk wisely. Ephesians 5:15-16 says Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. And Ephesians 6:13 says Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood alone, as Ephesians 6:12 tells us, but against spiritual forces, and we take comfort that our God both sees and will act.
We pray for your rest and for these practical needs. We ask the Lord to grant you deep and peaceful sleep and to wake you in time for these important appointments. Psalm 4:8 says I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh, alone make me live in safety. Psalm 3:5 says I laid myself down and slept. I awakened, for Yahweh sustains me. We pray for favor as you seek to reach the doctor and for the documentation you need to be provided without hindrance. Philippians 4:6 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. We ask for wisdom and guidance and strength for every step, for James 1:5 promises If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. And Isaiah 40:29 says He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.
We also lift up the storms before the Lord, whether they are storms in the sky or storms of circumstance and oppression. We remember that Jesus rebuked the wind and the waves and they obeyed Him, Mark 4:39 says He awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace. Be still. The wind ceased, and there was a great calm. We ask Him to speak that same peace over every storm raging around you and to be your refuge. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
We hear your cry for justice against predators and persecution and we agree with you that God will not let evil go unanswered. Romans 12:19 says Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Psalm 37:12-13 says The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming. We do not seek revenge in our own strength, but we do ask our righteous Judge to bring mighty justice in His perfect timing and to vindicate you. We pray that those who do evil would be brought to repentance, and that their plans would be exposed and stopped.
We join you in pleading the mighty blood covering of Jesus over you. Revelation 12:11 says They overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, and because of the word of their testimony. And 1 John 1:7 says the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. We ask for His protection to rest over you and your household, for Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only access to Your throne and our only hope of salvation, for Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We thank You that we can come boldly through Jesus. Lord, grant our dear one rest today, deep restorative sleep, and awaken them refreshed and on time for these important appointments. Grant favor with the doctor's office and release the documentation that is needed. Speak peace to every storm and still what needs to be stilled. Pour out wisdom, guidance and strength for everything set before them. Arise as the righteous Judge, expose every evil attack and persecution, protect from every predator, and bring Your mighty justice according to Your perfect will. Cover them with the precious blood of Jesus, guard their heart and mind with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and let them feel Your nearness in these evil days. We trust You to sustain and keep them, and we ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus, amen.
