We rejoice with you in the transformation Christ has begun in your life! What a testimony of His grace, three months ago, you were born again, and now you are serving others in rehab, teaching English, and fundraising for ministry. The Lord is clearly at work in you, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that He who began this good work will complete it (Philippians 1:6).
First, we must address the probation matter with both truth and compassion. Missing an appointment, even unintentionally, carries consequences, but we serve a God who is just and merciful. Proverbs 28:13 tells us, "He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy." You have already taken steps to make this right by writing letters and contacting officials, this is evidence of your repentance and responsibility. We pray that the Lord will soften the hearts of those in authority, that they may see your sincerity and the fruit of your changed life. Let your actions reflect the humility and integrity of Christ, trusting that He goes before you in every meeting and correspondence (Proverbs 21:1).
We also lift up the fear of regression if this situation does not resolve in your favor. It is understandable to feel this way, but we must remember that God’s plans for you are not confined by earthly circumstances. Joseph endured prison before rising to a position of authority, and Paul wrote letters of encouragement to the church from behind bars, God uses even the most difficult places for His glory. If you face incarceration, He will be with you, and your testimony can still shine brightly. However, we pray fervently that the Lord will intervene, that doors will open for leniency, and that your ministry will continue unhindered. "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1).
For the work ahead, teaching English and fundraising, we ask the Lord to equip you with wisdom, patience, and creativity. Teaching is a sacred calling, and as you pour into the lives of children and adults, may they see Christ in you. Colossians 3:17 reminds us, "Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." May your fundraising efforts be fruitful, not for your glory, but for the advancement of the Gospel and the support of those in rehab who, like you, are seeking freedom in Christ.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the work You are doing in ###’s life. Lord, we thank You for saving him, for giving him a new heart, and for the ministry You have placed in his hands. We ask that You would go before him in this probation matter, that You would grant him favor with the judges and officers, and that they would see the sincerity of his repentance and the fruit of his transformation. If it is Your will, Lord, open the door for him to continue his work unhindered, but if not, give him the strength and faith to trust You even in difficult circumstances.
Father, we pray against fear and discouragement. Remind him that You are his stronghold, his light, and his salvation. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). For the work ahead, Lord, equip him with wisdom, patience, and creativity. May his teaching be a blessing to those he serves, and may his fundraising efforts bear much fruit for Your kingdom.
We rebuke the enemy’s lies that this setback will define him or derail Your plans. Instead, we declare that what the enemy meant for harm, You will use for good (Genesis 50:20). Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him walk in the confidence of Your promises. May his life continue to be a testament to Your grace, mercy, and power.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the One who has authority over all things and who intercedes for us at Your right hand. Amen.
Continue to press into the Lord, ###. Spend time in His Word, surround yourself with godly counsel, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone in this battle, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord stands with you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
