Good and Faithful Servant
Everyone is boycotting the local shops due to foreigners and lots of shops and businesses are closing their operations and MNCs are leaving due to the Government's sin of importing foreigners and neglecting locals. And don't provide job stability for locals but do that for foreigners. We would rather go to Malaysia to spend and enjoy the favorable exchange rate and make Singapore a ghost town.

We hear the deep frustration and concern in your words as you describe the struggles facing local businesses and the economic hardship many are experiencing. This is a weighty matter that affects families, livelihoods, and the very fabric of the community. We stand with you in seeking God’s wisdom, justice, and restoration in this situation.

First, we must acknowledge that God cares deeply about justice, fairness, and the well-being of His people. The Bible tells us in **Proverbs 14:31 (WEB)**, *"He who oppresses the poor mocks his Maker, but he who is gracious to the needy honors him."* When policies or practices favor one group over another in ways that harm the vulnerable, it grieves the heart of God. We must pray for those in authority to govern with righteousness and equity, as **1 Timothy 2:1-2 (WEB)** instructs: *"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."*

We also recognize the importance of stewardship and community. The boycott you describe reflects a desire to protect what is cherished, but we must be cautious that our actions do not stem from bitterness, division, or a spirit of exclusion. **James 2:8-9 (WEB)** warns, *"However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself,’ you do well. But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors."* While it is right to advocate for justice, we must guard our hearts against resentment or prejudice, for all people—locals and foreigners alike—are made in God’s image.

We must also address the spiritual reality behind these challenges. The Bible makes it clear that nations and leaders are under God’s authority, and when sin takes root in governance, it brings consequences. **Proverbs 29:2 (WEB)** says, *"When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan."* We must pray fervently for repentance, wisdom, and godly leadership—not just for the sake of economic stability, but for the spiritual health of the nation.

Let us also remember that our ultimate hope is not in policies, economies, or even the strength of local businesses, but in Christ. **Psalm 20:7 (WEB)** declares, *"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of Yahweh our God."* Whether the economy thrives or struggles, our trust must remain in Him. We are called to be salt and light in our communities, showing Christ’s love even in difficult circumstances.

Now, let us pray together:

*Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our nation and its people. We ask for Your mercy and wisdom to rest upon those in authority. Lord, expose any injustice, corruption, or partiality in governance, and replace it with righteousness and fairness. Give leaders discernment to make decisions that honor You and bless all people, both locals and foreigners, as You command us to love our neighbors as ourselves.*

*Father, we pray for the local businesses and workers who are suffering. Provide for their needs, open doors of opportunity, and restore what has been lost. Let Your peace and provision be evident in their lives. We ask that You soften hearts toward unity rather than division, that we may see one another as You see us—precious souls in need of Your grace.*

*Lord, we repent for any bitterness, resentment, or prejudice in our own hearts. Help us to love as You love, to seek justice without hatred, and to trust in You above all else. May Your name be glorified in our nation, and may Your kingdom come in every area of society. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King. Amen.*

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s heart in this matter. Pray for those in leadership, support local businesses in ways that honor God, and extend grace even as you stand for justice. The battle is not merely economic or political—it is spiritual. Stand firm in faith, knowing that God hears the cries of His people and will act on behalf of the oppressed. **Psalm 34:17-18 (WEB)** assures us, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this struggle.

Dear friend,

We join you in lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father. It's heartbreaking to see the struggles of local businesses and the economic hardship many are facing. Let's remember that God sees and cares about each one of us, and He wants justice to roll like a river (Amos 5:24).

Let's pray that our leaders will have wisdom and courage to make decisions that are fair and beneficial to all, not just a select few. Let's ask God to open their hearts to understand the plight of the locals and to create policies that will help them thrive.

And while we advocate for justice, let's also remember to love our neighbors as ourselves, regardless of their nationality. Let's not let bitterness or resentment take root in our hearts. Instead, let's be known for our love, unity, and grace.

Let's trust in God's plan, knowing that He is in control and He will make all things work together for our good (Romans 8:28). Let's continue to support local businesses, not out of obligation, but out of love and a desire to see our community flourish.

Let's pray together:

"Lord, we come to you with heavy hearts. We lift up our nation and its people to you. We ask for your mercy and wisdom to rest upon our leaders. Open their eyes to see the struggles of the locals, and give them the courage to make decisions that are fair and just. Help us to love our neighbors as ourselves, regardless of their nationality. Help us to trust in you, even in difficult times. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this difficult time. It’s clear how deeply this situation weighs on your heart, and we’ve been lifting up the concerns of your community before the Lord—asking for wisdom, healing, and restoration where division and hardship have taken root.

We’ve prayed for the local shop owners and businesses facing closure, that God would provide creative solutions, unexpected opportunities, and His peace in the midst of uncertainty. We’ve asked Him to soften hearts toward unity rather than division, and to reveal His love in ways that break down barriers between people. We’ve also interceded for the government, that they would seek godly wisdom in their policies, balancing justice, compassion, and stewardship for all who call your nation home.

If the Lord has moved in any of these areas—whether through provision for struggling businesses, reconciliation in the community, or shifts in policy—we would love to hear about it so we can praise Him together. If the burden still feels heavy and the answers haven’t yet come, please don’t hesitate to share this request again. We’re committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears and cares about every detail.

May He draw near to you in this season, renewing your hope and reminding you of His faithfulness. We trust that even in the challenges, He is at work for His glory and the good of His people. We pray this in Jesus’ Name.
