Nehemiah 13:28 :
One of the sons of Joiada son of Eliashib the high priest was son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite. And I drove him away from me.
A Prayer for Divine Diligence and Discernment:
Our prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with humbled hearts, recognizing the importance of being vigilant and discerning in our lives, as highlighted in the scripture of Nehemiah 13:28.
As we navigate our lives, Father, may every relationship we foster and every connection we nurture be founded on principles of righteousness and integrity. Protect our hearts and minds from alliances that could lead us away from the calling You have placed upon us. Instill in us a heart that yearns for community grounded in kindness and shared faith, so we reflect Your light in all our interactions.
Heavenly Father, every time we feel in questioned for our choices, remind us that You are with us. Just as Nehemiah faced ridicule for his tenacity, fortify our spirits to remain resolute in our faith. Let us remember that it’s not our human relationships but our divine connection with You that should define us.
Thank You, LORD Gods, for Your guidance and for granting us the ability to choose wisely in our lives. As we close this prayer, we rejoice in the power and peace that flow from trusting You above all else. May our journey be filled with purpose and honor towards Your holy name. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
