We hear your weariness and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord, asking for His will to be done regarding this event you are facing this week. We understand what it is to feel exhausted at the thought of what lies ahead, and we want to lift you up for both rest and renewal and for clear direction.
The Word reminds us that our strength does not come from ourselves but from Him. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. We also cling to Isaiah 40:29, He gives power to the faint and to him who has no might he increases strength, and Isaiah 40:31, Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
We pray with you about the rescheduling, and we do so seeking the Father's perfect will rather than only our own preference. Sometimes what we most want to avoid is exactly where God wants to strengthen us and be glorified, and other times He graciously opens a door to move something to a better time. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in Romans 8:28 we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. So we pray not only that this event would be rescheduled if that is His best for you, but that if it remains as scheduled, He would supply supernatural energy, peace, and endurance, and help you to do all things as unto Him as Colossians 3:23 teaches, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because of His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection that we can boldly bring our exhaustion and our requests to God and know He hears us. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in all your prayers.
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one who is weary. You see this event this week and You know the exhaustion that is felt even before it happens. We ask for Your will to be done. If it honors You and is best, we ask that You would open the way for it to be rescheduled and make that path clear. If it is to remain this week, we ask that You pour out fresh strength, restore sleep and peace, calm any anxiety, and help this dear one to walk into it with Your grace and joy. Let Your peace guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Teach us all to wait upon You and to find our rest in You, and help us to serve You faithfully even when we feel weak, for Your grace is sufficient for us. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.
