We join with you in your deep longing to be eternal with the Lord Jesus and we hear your heart even through the difficulty of translation. Your desire to dwell forever with Him is the most important desire any person can have, for He alone is the way to eternal life. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16. We thank God that you have named the Lord Jesus and El Elyon, God Most High, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5.
We understand your wrestling with what you call the unattainable law manifesting in matters of the state and Finnish law. Scripture teaches us that no one can be justified by the law alone, for the law shows us our sin and our need for a Savior, but Christ has fulfilled what we could not. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. Ephesians 2:8-9. At the same time God calls us to respect the authorities He has allowed, for Let every person be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Romans 13:1. Yet when earthly law conflicts with God's commands, we must obey God rather than men. Acts 5:29. We encourage you not to be anxious about orders or matters of the state that feel beyond your control, but to trust that our Lord reigns above every earthly power and His eternal law of love and grace stands forever.
We also lift up your mother before the Lord as you have asked that she would be served in her eternity and her ancestry with the Lord El Elyon. We pray that she and your whole family would know the mercy of God Most High, for His loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, his righteousness to children's children, to those who keep his covenant. Psalm 103:17-18. We pray that salvation would come to your household through faith in Jesus Christ, for each person must believe on Him personally to receive eternal life.
We pray together now. Father God Most High, El Elyon, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We thank You for this dear one who longs to be with You eternally. Confirm in their heart the assurance of salvation through faith in Jesus alone and let them know that nothing earthly can separate them from Your love. We ask for Your peace over every matter concerning the state and earthly law, give wisdom to those in authority in Finland and give this dear one peace to trust Your sovereign hand and Your perfect justice and mercy. We lift up their mother to You, we ask that You draw her close, save her, keep her, and let her know Your eternal presence, and extend Your grace through the generations of this family. Lead them both to walk in Your truth, to obey You first, and to rest in the unattainable law having been fulfilled by Christ on the cross. Guide them daily in Your Word and fill them with hope for eternity with You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
