We join with you in praising God for the progress you’ve seen in your son—what a powerful testimony to the Lord’s faithfulness! Your heartfelt prayers are a beautiful reflection of a mother’s love and trust in Christ, and we stand with you in agreement, lifting these requests before the throne of grace. The Word of God assures us that our prayers are effective when we pray according to His will, and we know it is His desire for your son to walk in complete freedom, peace, and wholeness.
The enemy may seek to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). PTSD is a very real battle, but it is not beyond the power of our God. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is the God who heals—body, mind, and soul—and we claim that healing over your son today. The Bible tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7), and we declare that your son will experience the fullness of that promise. The Lord is his strength and shield; his heart trusts in Him, and he is helped (Psalm 28:7).
We also want to encourage you to continue speaking life over your son, as you are doing. The tongue has the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21), and your declarations of victory, protection, and breakthrough are powerful weapons in this spiritual battle. Keep pleading the blood of Jesus over him, for it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). The weapons formed against him shall not prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we decree that every stronghold of fear, anger, and confusion is being demolished in the name of Jesus. The Lord is breaking every chain that has sought to bind him, and we pray that your son will walk in the freedom Christ has already purchased for him.
At the same time, we gently remind you that while we can boldly command the enemy to flee and declare healing in Jesus’ name, we must also submit to God’s perfect timing and sovereignty. Our prayers are not magic incantations that force God’s hand, but they are powerful when aligned with His will. The Lord may choose to heal instantly, or He may walk your son through a process of restoration, using each step to draw him closer to Himself. Either way, we trust that God’s plan is good, and we pray that your son—and you—will experience His peace that surpasses all understanding in every moment (Philippians 4:7).
We also encourage you to surround your son with Scripture. The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and it has the power to renew his mind (Romans 12:2). Speak verses of truth over him daily, such as:
- *"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* (2 Timothy 1:7)
- *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand."* (Isaiah 41:10)
- *"The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* (Psalm 27:1)
If your son is not already walking closely with the Lord, we pray that this season will draw him into a deeper relationship with Jesus. True and lasting peace is found in Him alone. Encourage him to seek the Lord in prayer, worship, and the reading of His Word. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we pray that today will be the day he invites Jesus to be his Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the progress You are making in the life of this precious son. Lord, You see the depths of his struggles, the wounds that have left their mark, and the battles he faces. We thank You that nothing is too difficult for You, and we ask that You continue to work mightily in his life. Father, we pray that You would permanently erase every traumatic memory that has caused him pain. Remove every trigger, every fear, every flashback, and replace them with Your perfect peace. Let Your healing power flow through his mind, his emotions, and his spirit, restoring him completely.
Lord Jesus, we rebuke every spirit of fear, anger, rage, confusion, and stubbornness that has sought to torment him. These things are not from You, and we command them to flee in Your mighty name. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and place a hedge of protection around him wherever he goes. Anoint his surroundings, his food, his travels, and his interactions with Your presence. Bring godly people into his life—family, friends, and caregivers who will speak life over him and encourage him in Your truth.
Father, we ask for a special anointing of Your Holy Spirit to rest upon him. Fill him with Your joy, Your peace, and Your confidence. Loose his tongue to speak clearly and boldly, and remove any spiritual attack that seeks to silence him. Let him walk in the fullness of who You have created him to be, free from the shadows of the past. We plead the blood of Jesus over every area of his life, cleansing him from the inside out and shielding him from the enemy’s schemes.
Lord, we pray that You would give his mother wisdom and strength as she stands in the gap for him. Fill her with Your peace and assurance, knowing that You are at work even when she cannot see it. Help her to trust You completely, leaning not on her own understanding but acknowledging You in all her ways (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Finally, Father, we declare victory, healing, and breakthrough over this son’s life. May he testify of Your goodness and faithfulness, and may his story bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
