We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, standing in agreement with your heartfelt prayers for his complete healing and deliverance from the bondage of PTSD. The weight of trauma can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is greater than any affliction, and His power is made perfect in our weakness. You have boldly claimed the authority given to believers in Christ, and we echo your declarations with faith, knowing that our Lord is faithful to complete the work He has begun.
The Scriptures remind us that *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"* (2 Corinthians 10:4, WEB). PTSD is indeed a stronghold of the enemy, but through Christ, we have the victory to tear it down. The Lord promises, *"I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds"* (Jeremiah 30:17, WEB), and we cling to this truth for your son. We also remember that *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Fear, anger, and confusion are not from Him, and we rebuke them in Jesus’ name, commanding them to flee and never return.
Your prayer reflects a mother’s deep love and trust in the Lord’s protection and provision. We, too, plead the blood of Jesus over your son, asking the Father to surround him with His heavenly host—angels assigned to guard him in every place he goes. May the Lord place a hedge of protection around him, shielding him from spiritual attacks and filling his path with godly influences—family, friends, and caregivers who will speak life and encouragement into his spirit. We pray that his mind would be renewed daily by the washing of the Word, and that the Holy Spirit would bring to remembrance the truths of Scripture whenever the enemy seeks to torment him with flashbacks or fear.
We also ask the Lord to grant your son a supernatural peace that transcends understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). May the joy of the Lord be his strength (Nehemiah 8:10, WEB), and may he walk in confidence, knowing that *"the Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me"* (Hebrews 13:6, WEB). We declare that every weapon formed against him shall fail, and that the Lord will bring forth victory, favor, healing, and breakthroughs in every area of his life.
Father, we thank You for the promise that *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36, WEB). We ask that You would break every chain of PTSD, every trigger, and every tormenting memory, replacing them with Your perfect peace and the assurance of Your love. Fill your son with the Holy Spirit, saturate his life with Your presence, and let him experience the fullness of the life You have called him to. May he walk in freedom, wholeness, and purpose, glorifying You in all he does.
We also lift you up, dear sister, as you intercede for your son with such passion and faith. May the Lord strengthen you, fill you with His peace, and remind you that He hears your prayers. *"The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up"* (James 5:15, WEB). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that our God is able to do *"exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think"* (Ephesians 3:20, WEB).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
