Entrusting my ### ❤️❤️❤️

Craurath

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a humble heart, trusting in Your perfect wisdom, timing, and love. Thank You for bringing ### into my life. You know every detail of our hearts, our thoughts, and our future better than we ever could.

Lord, I lift up my boyfriend and chatmate in ### and with ADHD to You. Please touch his heart with Your love, peace, and truth and heal him. If it is Your will, give him courage to move forward in getting to know me more deeply and honestly. Order his steps according to Your perfect plan. If it is good and pleasing in Your sight, open the way for us to have a meaningful phone call or video call, and help us communicate with sincerity, openness, and respect.

Father, if this relationship is part of Your purpose for our lives, help him become intentional and serious about our communication and our relationship. Guide both of us to seek You first, to honor You in our words and actions, and to build a relationship founded on faith, honesty, trust, and genuine love.

Lord Jesus, I surrender my own desires to You. As Your Word teaches, I pray, "Not my will, but Yours be done." If this relationship is Your will, strengthen it. If You have a different path, give me the grace to trust You completely, knowing that Your plans are always good.

Fill ###'s heart and mind with the love that comes from You. If it is Your will for us to share a future together, grow in him a sincere, faithful, and unconditional love—one that reflects Your patience, kindness, forgiveness, and steadfast commitment. Likewise, shape my heart so that I may love him in a Christlike way, free from fear, selfishness, or impatience.

Protect us from misunderstanding, doubt, fear, and anything that would draw us away from You. Help us to encourage one another in faith and to walk in integrity and truth.

I place this relationship into Your loving hands. I trust You to open the right doors, close the wrong ones, and lead us according to Your perfect will. Whatever the outcome, help me rest in the assurance that Your love never fails and that Your plans for me are always for my good and for Your glory.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.

We come before the Lord with a heart of gratitude for your trust in His perfect wisdom, timing, and love. It is clear you seek His will above all else, and we join you in lifting this situation before Him, asking for His guidance, healing, and direction. Let us first address a few important matters to ensure this relationship aligns with God’s Word and His design for marriage and love.

Your prayer reflects a desire for a relationship rooted in faith, honesty, and Christlike love, which is commendable. However, we must gently remind you that Scripture calls us to pursue relationships with the intent of marriage, not merely as "boyfriend and girlfriend." Courtship should always have the goal of discerning whether this person is the one God has chosen for you to marry, as marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this relationship is not moving toward that commitment, we must ask the Lord to reveal whether this is His will or if He has another path for you both.

We also notice that while you mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, we must emphasize that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and our prayers must always be lifted in His name, for He is the mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). We rejoice that you have surrendered your will to His, praying, "Not my will, but Yours be done," as our Lord Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane (Luke 22:42).

Now, let us pray together for this situation, seeking God’s will and His glory:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging that You alone know the deepest desires and needs of Your children. We lift up ### and his struggles with ADHD, asking that You would touch his heart with Your peace, truth, and healing. Lord, if it is Your will, give him the courage to move forward in getting to know this sister in Christ more deeply, with sincerity, openness, and respect. Order his steps according to Your perfect plan, and if it pleases You, open the way for meaningful communication between them.

Father, we ask that You would guide both of them to seek You first in all things, honoring You with their words and actions. If this relationship is part of Your purpose for their lives, we pray that You would strengthen it, building it on a foundation of faith, honesty, trust, and genuine love. Shape their hearts to reflect Your patience, kindness, forgiveness, and steadfast commitment. Help them to encourage one another in faith and to walk in integrity and truth, always pointing each other toward You.

Lord, we also ask that You would protect them from misunderstanding, doubt, fear, or anything that would draw them away from You. If this relationship is not Your will, give them the grace to trust You completely, knowing that Your plans are always for their good and Your glory. Fill their hearts with the assurance that Your love never fails and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We surrender this relationship into Your loving hands, trusting You to open the right doors, close the wrong ones, and lead them according to Your perfect will. Whatever the outcome, may they find rest in the knowledge that You are faithful and that Your love endures forever.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Now, let us turn to Scripture for encouragement and guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." This is a beautiful reminder that when we surrender our plans to God, He will guide us in the way we should go.

We also encourage you to reflect on 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, which describes the kind of love that should characterize our relationships: "Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things." Ask the Lord to cultivate this kind of love in your heart and in the heart of ###.

Lastly, we must address the issue of physical intimacy. If you and ### are not married, we strongly urge you to honor God by abstaining from any sexual activity. Scripture is clear that sex is a gift from God to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage (Hebrews 13:4). Fornication, or sex outside of marriage, is a sin that grieves the heart of God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We pray that you both would flee from temptation and honor God with your bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word, trusting that He will guide you both in His perfect timing. If this relationship is His will, He will make it clear. If not, He has something even better in store for you. Rest in His promises and walk in obedience to His Word.

What a beautiful, honest way to lay this before the Lord. We can feel how much you care, and how genuinely you want this relationship to honor Him, even while you wait and wonder. That posture of surrender, that “not my will but Yours,” is not always easy to hold, and we’re standing with you in it.

One thing we have seen in pastoral care is that trust is often built slowly, and some people test the waters before they step in deeper. Your friend’s hesitation or inconsistency may not be a lack of interest, but a cautious, perhaps even unconscious, way of finding out whether this connection is safe and real. That can be especially true for someone navigating life with ADHD, where focus and follow-through often feel harder than others realize. You are not necessarily being pushed away; you may be witnessing the careful, imperfect process of another person learning to trust.

So while you wait, we encourage you to give this space to breathe. You have already placed it in God’s hands, and you do not need to manage the outcome. Keep your own heart steady, not by analyzing every signal, but by staying rooted in the One who already holds both of your futures. If a real phone call or deeper conversation is meant to come, it will not need to be forced.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this woman and the man she cares about. You see his heart, his mind, his daily struggles, and his need for courage. Quiet her anxious waiting with Your peace that doesn’t depend on a certain answer. Guide them both to walk in honesty and integrity, and if it is Your will, draw them together in a way that reflects Your goodness. But above all, keep her eyes on You, the one who never wavers in His love. In Your name we pray, Amen.

You speak of surrender, and well that you should, for no soul ever finds solid rest until it has made a full capitulation, an unconditional surrender to the will of the Lord. But mark this: true surrender does not lay down its arms on the stipulation that its own desires be granted. It yields at discretion, asking no terms, making no bargains. You have brought this affection and this longing for a man’s intentional regard before the throne of grace, and you have rightly said, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” Yet now the test of that prayer has come. Will you surrender at discretion, leaving the outcome wholly in the hand of your Father without secretly retaining a hope that heaven must bend to your cherished design? If you would truly have the mind of Christ, you must fling wide the gates and admit Prince Emmanuel to rule as sole sovereign in every street of your heart, this tender street of affection included.

Guard yourself closely. The relationship you describe, this chatting and this longing for a deeper tie outside the public covenant of holy matrimony, is not a relationship of original relationship ordained by God from the first. Whatever bloom of affection appears upon it, it remains a voluntary compact, not a bond forged in the sanctions of divine institution. Marriage alone is the relationship which the Lord has taken upon Himself to bless with all the responsibilities of a husband’s faithful care. Until that sacred covenant is made, the paths of a man and a woman are separate before God, and no amount of sincerity can transform an unscriptural intimacy into a state of grace. You ask the Lord to make him serious and intentional. Be it so; but let that seriousness show itself first not in private calls, but in the daylight of honor, the fear of God, and a swift movement toward that public commitment which is honorable in all. The wife is to reverence her husband and be subject to her own husband in the Lord, not to a chatmate whose intentions are yet unproven. Any communication that fosters emotional depth without the framework of holy guardianship risks weaving a web of perplexity rather than building a foundation of faith.

You pray for him, entrusting his afflictions and the condition of his mind to the Lord, and this is meet and right. God alone can heal, and He alone can order a man’s steps. But keep before your eyes this truth: the Lord has left much of our earthly future in an intentional indistinctness, not so that we would scheme to decipher it through longings and signs, but so that we should always be watching, waiting, and ready for Christ’s appearing, and so living in holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. If this man is for you, you need not force the door open; God’s providence will make it fly wide without your hand lifting a single anxious bar. If he is not, then all your crying will only batter your own spirit against a wall the Lord in kindness has erected. Be done with the fear that whispers you must prompt the Almighty’s timing. Rest in the assurance that your Father is too wise to err and too good to be unkind, and that Christ’s blood has already secured every necessary mercy for you. Go in peace, and let your soul be silent unto God.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have offered a prayer that seems to seek God’s will, yet within it I hear the restless stirring of a heart that has already set itself upon a particular outcome. Do not deceive yourself: true surrender does not dictate the manner in which God must act. You ask for courage for this young man to move forward, for a phone call, for a video call, for intentionality and seriousness. But where in Scripture are these things commanded as the path to holiness? You are in danger of calling audacity boldness. Boldness is to rebuke sin, to withstand evil, to proclaim the truth, as when Elijah confronted Ahab or John the Baptist reproved Herod. But to insist that God arrange the circumstances of a courtship according to your own timing and desires is not boldness of faith; it is the unbridled tongue of impatience. Test your motives: do you seek the honour of God, or the satisfaction of your own affections?

Remember the Jews who rested their hopes on descent from Abraham, and missed the Christ when He stood before them. They clung to a natural relationship, imagining it sufficient, and so they perished. So you must not make an idol of this connection. What is his attention or his response to you compared to the kinship of the Spirit? The one who does the will of the Father is brother and sister and mother to Christ. If this young man will not lead you toward greater faithfulness, humility, and purity, then his natural traits, even a condition like ###, are no excuse for his lack of holy purpose. The relationship that counts is not forged by late-night messages or video calls, but by a shared character shaped in the fear of God.

Do you imagine that God has forgotten you? Then you have forgotten Him. For when we carry the remembrance of God always in our thoughts, we are not consumed with arranging phone calls and testing another’s interest; we are consumed with pleasing Him. The prophet remembered God from the land of Jordan and the hill of Hermon, even in exile. Can you remember Him from your solitude, and be at peace? If He saved you by grace alone when you were dead in sins, will He not much more help you now, if you labour with vigilance? Work out your own salvation with trembling. Let this young man see in you a meekness and gentleness that do not press and plead for attention, but quietly trust God’s ordering.

I do not say that it is wrong to desire marriage, but marriage is a covenant of one man and one woman for life, not a laboratory of endless “getting to know you” while passions stir. If he will not step forward with clarity and honour, then you must step back with dignity. Paul would not show courage with confidence toward those who walked according to the flesh; he besought them instead with the meekness of Christ. Imitate that. Cease trying to draw out his courage by your own urgency. Pray for him, yes, but pray above all that you both become the elect of God, against whom no charge can stand, and whose lives are marked not by flirtation but by holiness. Then, whether this relationship endures or fades, you will stand secure, a true daughter of the Heavenly Father, whose will you profess to love above your own.

You have placed this entire relationship into God’s hands, and there is a profound kind of rest that comes when you stop trying to carry what you were never meant to control. Your prayer breathes that longing: “Not my will, but yours be done.” That is not a prayer of resignation; it is the highest act of trust. Jesus Himself prayed those words in the garden, not because the Father’s will was easy, but because He knew the Father’s love was sure. When you can look at the future of any human connection and say with your whole heart, “Thy will be done,” you are no longer clinging to an outcome. You are clinging to a Person.

What you are tasting in that surrender is the difference between a legal relationship with God and a loving one. A legal relationship keeps a ledger. It tries to secure the blessing by doing everything right: saying the right words, avoiding the wrong steps, managing every detail perfectly so God will be obligated to answer. A loving relationship rests on something very different. It knows that God has already moved toward you in Jesus Christ. Through His blood, the basis for your relationship with Him is settled. He does not want you performing a spiritual rain dance, going through the right motions to make something fall from heaven. He wants you to know how much He loves you. When your vertical relationship with God is secure in grace rather than performance, everything horizontal begins to find its proper place.

You are not wrong to desire clarity or to ask God to heal and to lead. Those are good, honest prayers. But notice that the most important work is not what you are asking God to do in someone else’s heart; it is what God is already doing in yours. He is teaching you to entrust a person to Him without trying to control the result. A right relationship with God becomes the axis on which everything else turns. If your life is centered there, you will relate to this man not out of fear or impatience, but out of the love that has already been poured into you. And if your life is not centered there, even a perfect outcome with him will leave a hollow place that only God Himself can fill.

The law of God shows us what a good life looks like, but the law cannot give us the power to live it. That power comes when God writes His law on the fleshly tablets of your heart by His Spirit. You are not left to drum up enough courage or enough patience or enough clarity. The Spirit of God who dwells in you is able to do what you cannot do for yourself. As you yield to Him, not straining to be worthy of the relationship, but resting in the One who holds it, He transforms your desires and guards your heart from misunderstanding and the pull toward anything that would draw you away from Him.

Every healthy human relationship is meant to be an overflow of the primary one. When a husband’s relationship with his wife is out of sorts, his prayers are hindered. In the same way, when our relationship with God is half-hearted and fractured, every other bond feels the strain. The call for any of us is not to work harder on the human connection while ignoring the throne of our heart, but to return again to first love. Don’t let your soul settle for a lukewarm walk with the Lord while you pour all your energy into getting another relationship right. Seek His kingdom and His righteousness first, and everything else will be cared for by the One who knows exactly what you need.

God’s work in Jesus Christ cannot and will not fail. If this man is meant to move forward with you in sincerity, openness, and integrity, the Lord knows how to order his steps. If God has a different path, His mercy will be enough for you. Either way, you are not being dragged along by circumstance. You are being led by a faithful God whose plans are always for your good and His glory. Hold fast to the hope that one day every shadow will turn to substance and you will see clearly what today you can only entrust to His hands. In the meantime, let your heart rest in the assurance that His love never fails.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the sacred privilege of standing in prayer with you for your relationship and for your boyfriend's heart. It has been our joy to lift him before the Father, asking for His peace, truth, and courage—especially as ADHD presents its daily challenges—and to intercede for open, sincere communication between the two of you. We have prayed that every step he takes would align with God's perfect will, and that if this relationship is part of His purpose, it would be built on a foundation of faith, honesty, and Christlike love.

As the days unfold, we continue to hold you both in our hearts. If the Lord has already answered in ways you can see—perhaps through a meaningful conversation, a new depth of understanding, or even quiet confirmation in your spirit—we would love to celebrate His faithfulness with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in His goodness.

If, however, the path still feels uncertain or the answers have not yet come, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to walking with you in persistent prayer, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it. His timing is perfect, and His love for you both is unwavering. Whether He opens the door to deeper connection or leads you along separate paths, we pray you would rest in the assurance that He holds your future and that His plans are always for your good.

May the Lord fill your heart with His peace as you surrender this relationship to Him, and may He draw both of you closer to Himself as you seek Him first. We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
