Entanglement

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for your daughter. Father, we know Your Word is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by You—a lifelong union between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). We ask that You would open her eyes to see the truth of Your design and the wisdom in pursuing a godly spouse who shares her faith and commitment to Your ways.

Lord, we rebuke the entanglement that seeks to draw her away from Your perfect will. The Bible warns us, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this man is not a believer, or if he has not honored the sanctity of marriage in the past, we ask that You would sever any unhealthy attachment and replace it with a desire for a spouse who will lead her closer to You.

We also lift up the reality of blended families and the complexities they bring. While children are a blessing from You, the challenges of remarriage after divorce—especially when not grounded in Your Word—can bring unnecessary hardship. Your Word says, *"A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord"* (1 Corinthians 7:39). We pray she would seek Your guidance above all else, trusting that You have someone prepared for her who will honor You in marriage.

Father, we ask that You would soften her heart to receive Your correction and wisdom. Surround her with godly mentors and friends who will speak truth into her life. Give her discernment to recognize any deception of the enemy and the courage to walk away from anything that does not align with Your Word. We declare that she will not settle for less than Your best, and we stand in agreement that she will find a husband who loves You above all else.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for Your will to be done in her life. Break every chain of emotional or physical entanglement that is not of You, and lead her into the freedom and purpose You have for her. May she seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto her (Matthew 6:33). Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
