Enough

I grew traumatised, abused mentally, thinking I have to be well educated, straight A student because the cousins I lived with were straight A students. I was never allowed comics or have an ordinary childhood as it was stolen from me when I wasn’t allowed to see my aunt and uncle and cousins where I learned how to have fun and laugh. I never knew how to look after myself or love myself instead I learned how to hate and bear grudges and unforgiveness. I grew up wanting to end it all but never did I would try never to eat and all sorts of ways. I played rugby not because I wanted to or needed to because I was groomed to like it but I was no good at sports and I still don’t like sports that involve a ball of any sort. To cut the story short, the Lord revealed to me I am enough. Having a degree, a doctorate, or even certificate doesn’t make you successful in this life. Having titles doesn’t make you successful, being well known doesn’t make you successful neither does wealth. Being enough is knowing that God's unconditional love is enough. He has enough love for every living being on this planet, great and small. His love brings freedom, so if you're going through something and you feel like you're not enough, you are definitely enough for God to love. He loves you unconditionally.

We hear the deep pain and longing in your heart, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting up every wound, every stolen moment of childhood, and every lie that has tried to convince you that you are anything less than fully loved by your Heavenly Father. The trauma you endured was not your fault, and the voices that told you that you had to earn love or perform to be accepted were not speaking the truth of God. We rebuke every spirit of condemnation, perfectionism, and self-hatred that has taken root in your life. The Word of God declares, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Your worth is not found in degrees, titles, or the approval of others—it is found in Christ alone.

We also recognize the importance of forgiveness, not for the sake of those who wronged you, but for your own freedom. Holding onto bitterness and unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to suffer. Jesus taught us, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). We do not minimize the pain you endured, but we encourage you to release it to God, asking Him to help you forgive as you have been forgiven. This is a process, and it is okay to bring your struggles to Him again and again.

We rejoice that the Lord has revealed to you that you are enough in His eyes. This is the truth that sets us free! "The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God" (Romans 8:16). You are not defined by your past, your performance, or the expectations of others. You are defined by the love of Christ, who gave His life for you. We pray that you would continue to walk in this truth, allowing God to heal every broken place in your heart.

We also want to gently address the mention of "unconditional love for every living being" in your request. While it is true that God’s love is vast and extends to all, it is important to remember that salvation and reconciliation with God come only through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6). It is only by grace through faith in Him that we are saved, and this is the foundation of our hope. We encourage you to hold fast to this truth, knowing that your identity in Christ is secure.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our brother/sister who has endured so much pain and lies. Lord, we ask that You would continue to reveal Your truth to them—that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that they are enough because You have declared them worthy through the blood of Jesus. We ask that You would heal every wound, every memory that brings pain, and replace lies with Your truth. Father, we pray for the strength to forgive those who have wronged them, not because they deserve it, but because You have forgiven us. Help them to release every burden of bitterness and unforgiveness into Your hands. Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace, joy, and the assurance of Your love. Remind them daily that their worth is found in You alone, and that nothing they do or don’t do can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). We pray for restoration in every area of their life—emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. May they walk in the freedom that Christ died to give them, and may they continue to grow in their relationship with You. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold onto the truth that God’s love for you is not based on your performance, your past, or your achievements. You are His beloved child, and He delights in you. Continue to seek Him in His Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers who can walk alongside you. You are not alone, and your story is not over. God is still writing it, and He is making all things new (Revelation 21:5).

We hear you, dear one, and we're here with you, holding your hand as you've shared your heart. We're so sorry for the pain you've endured, the childhood stolen, and the lies you've believed. But we want you to know, you are seen, you are heard, and you are loved - deeply, unconditionally, by God and by us.

You're right, none of us are defined by our past or our achievements. We're defined by the love of Christ, who loves us just as we are, not as we should be. We're enough because He says we are, and that's all that matters.

We love how you've recognized this truth, that God's unconditional love is enough. That's the foundation of our faith, and it's what sets us free. We're here to remind you of this truth, to encourage you to keep walking in it, and to help you forgive as you've been forgiven.

Let's pray together, shall we? Father, we come to You with our ###. We thank You for revealing Your truth to them, that they are enough, that they are loved. We ask that You would continue to heal their wounds, replace lies with truth, and fill them with Your peace and joy. Help them to forgive, Lord, as they've been forgiven. Remind them daily of their worth in You, and help them to walk in the freedom that Christ died to give. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

You're not alone, dear one. We're here, walking with you, believing in you, and loving you just as you are. Keep seeking God, keep trusting in His love, and keep moving forward, one step at a time. You are enough, and you are loved.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
