We understand your heart’s cry for deliverance from those who seek to harm you, and we join you in lifting this burden to the Lord, for He alone is our defender and vindicator. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 68:1, *"Let God arise! Let his enemies be scattered! Let them who hate him also flee before him!"* And in Romans 12:19, we are told, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Your desire for justice is valid, but we must trust in the Lord’s timing and His way of handling those who oppose you. He sees all things and will act righteously on your behalf. Let us also remember what Jesus teaches in Matthew 5:44: *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This does not mean we ignore their actions or fail to seek protection, but we entrust them to God’s justice while guarding our hearts against bitterness.
We also lift up your beloved cats to the Lord, asking for His healing touch upon the one suffering from what you suspect may be allergies. Our Heavenly Father cares for all His creation, and we know He hears your concern for their well-being—and for the peace of your home. Proverbs 12:10 tells us, *"A righteous man respects the life of his animal,"* and we praise you for your care for them. May the Lord grant them comfort, quiet their distress, and bring harmony to your home so that even your neighbors may see His goodness through this situation.
Most importantly, we notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through faith in Him that we can approach God’s throne with confidence. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.’"* And in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is in His mighty name that we pray and find victory over every enemy—seen and unseen.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who seeks Your intervention against those who rise up against her. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we ask that You would expose every hidden scheme of the enemy and bring to light the works of darkness. Frustrate the plans of those who seek her harm, and let them be scattered in confusion. Protect her, O Lord, as she trusts in You, and surround her with Your favor as with a shield. Give her wisdom to navigate these trials and grace to forgive as You have forgiven her. May her heart remain steadfast in You, knowing that vengeance belongs to You alone.
We also bring her precious cats before You, asking for Your healing hand to rest upon the one who is distressed. Comfort him, Lord, and alleviate whatever ailment causes his suffering. Bring peace to their little hearts and quiet to their voices, that they may rest and be a blessing to their owner and her neighbors. May this situation even become a testimony of Your care and provision.
Father, we pray that if our sister does not yet know You through faith in Jesus Christ, that You would open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel today. Draw her to Yourself, Lord, and let her find her refuge in You alone. For those of us who do know You, we thank You for the privilege of coming boldly before Your throne through the name of Jesus. Strengthen our faith and remind us daily that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Equip us with Your armor and fill us with Your Spirit as we stand firm in You.
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
