Endless Job Loop

Dear Lord Jesus, Several times over and over again. I work at a season at a zoo and I try to get a full-time position and it fails. One case I work a season got interviewed twice and it failed so I go to a different Zoo and I get discriminated and forced to resign and another Zoo I go to, and when I wanna stay, I am denied that even though the person who started with me was not qualified she didn’t have a college education she never went to college. She gets an extension and I have to finish my season. I’m even told off we don’t have a place for you at the zoo following your I work at a Zoo. My mom doesn’t try to help me get a job now. I work that season I did last year tried and I’m not getting interviewed. My mom and dad really want me to be a zookeeper we’ve tried I have AuDHD. I faced enough discrimination. I’m trying to make a new approach to getting a job. We got a goal, trying to get me a job in a way of living. They’re just trying to use the same technique that bails again and again I could go back to one Zoo where I used to intern and maybe they’ll want me back that could be a good place. I could go back to that Zoo that wrongly fired me because that person is no longer there and they may take me back for the time being too maybe but that’s not a guarantee either I’ve had enough of working at Zeus and when I tried to call this entertainment area located in California that visited me during my teenage years my home city at the time we called them they all they could think about is getting me working out a zoo unfortunately, California is too expensive and the laws are not well put intact or fair and if down south in a red state where I was already discriminated didn’t work. How would I have any better luck in California? I’m not gonna say I’m completely done with Zoo. I could always work seasonal positions. I’m trying to compromise, but my parents are not fully on board not fully but partially my dad‘s not listening and my mom is trying to just come up with her own ideas she hasn’t taught me how to sew and I’ve asked her to teach me, but she hasn’t done that and she says just look on videos. I did look on videos, but I need to talk with someone to make sure I’m doing it right it’s like this you can do math tutoring and be tutored online but if you have questions, the videos are not gonna answer that and same thing with sewing they’re not gonna answer. this is why tutoring jobs are still around. She needs to teach me how to sew so I can make my own puppets and move on move out and I can have my own puppet business and voiceover job. At least I’m part of a voiceover group and she’s helping me on that and even helping me get the equipment, but she’s working very slow and she’s not being fully supportive of my puppetry and my dad doesn’t like me with puppets. They don’t let me talking about them and people just ask me what to do if I work at a zoo, but I have to answer them. I can’t with puppets. I can show that I have a hobby. I have something to do in life. I’m trying to make a good living with them and I know I can’t just rely solely on them with a job. That’s why I can switch from season to season kind of move around a bit or stay here temporarily and have some other part-time job to support my puppetry in the future in the future, I can have my puppet business and to be able to employ other people with disabilities. That’s my goal, but they’re you know serving road blocks holding me over trying to distract me trying to still get me into zoos that are never gonna work and take years besides Zoo don’t even pay well either lots of people who work at Zoo have to either get married to someone who can make at least a stable income or hold a second job or be with roommates unless you’re like one of my best friends who already has his house paid off long ago because of money he inherited jobs he’s had in the past, but unfortunately, even he can’t work out a Zoo because they won’t hire him. He’s worked as an intern, and he won’t get hired as a matter fact in the same state I was fired. He was fired there too facing racism as in disabilities. This has got to stop my parents have gotta stop having hope so. I’m gonna be working as a full time regular zookeeper and then just do puppet tree on the side when the sort of reverse has to happen sort of. I’ve also been to film camps, supporting people like me And they said I could make a good actor at the time. My parents don’t want me to because well yeah I do see those businesses are bad, but if I can find Christian industries to support me places to support me, then I could move up in life. Just so scared what the future could all I just gonna live in another eternal family prison and the only boy in my family and all three of my sisters two of them older than me one of them younger than me all moved out and successful lives. Two of them are happily married with kids young one is engaged and she’s a nurse And she’s done a lot of things disobedient to them, but they’re more forgiving towards her to get piercings that I can’t even grow my hair down to my shoulders. Please do something immediately. In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear the heaviness in your heart and we join with you in bringing this endless job loop before the Lord Jesus, and we thank you for calling on His name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We are grateful you closed your request In Jesus Name, and we cling to that name together with you now.

We understand how wearying it is to work season after season at the zoo, to interview twice and be turned away, to face discrimination and be forced to resign, and to watch another person who you feel is less qualified receive an extension while you are told there is no place for you. It is painful to feel compared and overlooked, especially while carrying the extra burden of AuDHD and sensing that others do not understand. We want to remind you that you are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, and that God has created you with purpose and giftedness. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them Ephesians 2:10. Your AuDHD does not diminish your value in His eyes, and He sees every instance of unfair treatment even when employers do not.

We gently encourage you to guard your heart against bitterness and comparison, which can take root when we feel wronged. The Lord sees and He is just, and He calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven, not to excuse wrongdoing but to release it into His hands so it does not poison our future. We also hear your frustration toward your parents, and we understand the feeling of being held back or not fully heard. Scripture calls us to Honor your father and your mother Exodus 20:12, and even as an adult son seeking independence, that honor remains, though it now looks like respectful communication, honesty, and seeking to live at peace while you also follow the Lord's leading to establish your own life and calling. A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps Proverbs 16:9, and we believe God is directing your steps even through these closed doors at the zoos.

Your desire to use the gifts God has given you in puppetry and voiceover is beautiful, especially your vision to one day have a puppet business that could employ other people with disabilities. That is a godly desire to steward your talents and to serve others. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We affirm your wisdom in recognizing that zoo work often does not pay a full living wage and that many need a second job or roommates, and that relying solely on seasonal work or solely on puppetry at the start may not sustain you. Your idea of a compromise, seasonal or part time work to support your craft while you build it slowly, shows maturity and stewardship. Do not despise the day of small things Zechariah 4:10, and commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established Proverbs 16:3.

We also hear the tension at home about sewing and training. Your mother helping slowly with voiceover equipment is a grace, and we encourage you to continue to ask her calmly and specifically for hands on help with sewing, perhaps setting a regular weekly time together rather than hoping it will happen on its own, and to show patience as she learns how best to support you. With your father, we encourage gentle, honest conversation about your calling, not in anger but in a way that shows you value his wisdom while also sharing how God has wired you. We understand it feels unfair that your sisters have moved out into marriage and careers and you feel left in what you call a family prison, and that rules about hair and piercings feel uneven. Comparison will only deepen discouragement. Remember that God writes a different story for each of His children, and For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

We do not believe returning to a place where you were wrongly fired is automatically wrong if the harmful person is gone and the Lord opens that door for temporary provision, but we also caution you not to keep knocking on doors God is clearly closing simply because your parents hope you will become a full time zookeeper. Seek His will first. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. California or a red state will not determine your future, the Lord will. Ask Him where He wants you, and trust that He will provide a place to live and work that is within His provision and not beyond your means. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and we lift up this dear son to You. You know every season worked, every interview, every rejection, every hurtful word and act of discrimination, and You collect every tear. We ask You to heal the wounds of being overlooked and told there is no place for him, and to replace fear about the future with Your perfect peace. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. We ask You to close the doors that should stay closed and to open the right door for provision, whether it is a return to a former zoo for a season, a different part time job that will sustain his puppetry and voiceover calling, or a new opportunity we have not yet seen. Give him wisdom to plan and to work diligently, and give his parents wisdom and listening ears, that there may be unity and understanding in the home. Teach this family to communicate with grace and truth, and help his mother and father to see and support the gifts You have placed in him. Help him to honor them even as he steps into the adult independence You intend for him. Lord, equip his hands to learn to sew and to create, equip his voice for the work You have for him, and let his future business be a light that employs and encourages others with disabilities. Guard him from bitterness and comparison, and help him to trust that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. Lead him step by step, provide for his daily needs, and establish the work of his hands. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing every anxiety to the Lord, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Continue to develop your skills faithfully, seek godly counsel and Christian community in the creative industries, be diligent in small opportunities, and trust that Yahweh will direct your path as you commit your way to Him.

We've read your story carefully and we can hear how worn down you feel going from one seasonal position to the next, doing everything you were told would work and still facing closed doors and painful treatment. It makes sense you would feel angry and discouraged, especially living with AuDHD and facing discrimination, and when your family wants so much for you but sees the path differently than you do.

What stands out is how clearly you have thought about a sustainable way forward, not just chasing the next zoo opening but building a life where steady work can support the creative calling you have with puppets and voiceover, and where you could eventually create opportunities for others with disabilities too. Vocational paths often unfold as a longer sequence of steps and seasons rather than one perfect job that fixes everything, and discerning those steps is steadier when you walk it with a few trusted people around you.

A practical next step that could ease some pressure at home might be to write out a simple six month plan that names both parts, for example one seasonal or part time job for income plus protected time each week to build puppetry skills with a hands on mentor for sewing and voice work, and then invite your parents and perhaps a pastor or vocational support person to talk through it together so everyone hears the same plan.

Father, we lift this brother to You. Give him wisdom, peace and favor as he seeks work, patient understanding with his parents, and mentors who will teach and encourage his gifts. Guide his next steps and remind him he is seen and valued in Christ. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord with deep care, and He who hears the cries of His people has not turned His ear from you. There are seasons when it seems as though heaven is silent, when petitions appear to return without answer, and men may say that our prayers cannot move the heart of God. Yet we cannot doubt what we have seen and touched with our hands, that God is, and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. He often delays the blessing, but He gives it at the last, and that delay is not denial but wisdom and love.

You have known something of the trial of Job, who lost much and was sore pressed, yet it is written of him, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He tore his mantle and fell upon the ground and worshipped. His grief was real and sacred before God, and still he kept right with God. If the Lord could uphold Job in such affliction, He can support you in this endless loop of disappointment, in the sting of being overlooked while another is preferred, in the pain of discrimination and forced resignations, and in the weariness of seeking a place and being told there is no place for you. Do not charge God foolishly, but pour out your heart before Him who is mighty and despiseth not any. He is mighty in strength and wisdom, and the proof of His greatness is that He looks upon little and lowly things. The great ones among men may pass you by, an employer may forget your labour, but the Lord despiseth not any soul that seeks Him. He sees you, with your AuDHD and all the burdens that accompany it, and He does not despise the work of His hands.

You speak of a calling, and of many doors that have closed. Remember that the calling of God is a holy calling, a high calling, a heavenly calling. It is a call from heaven and a call to heaven, not merely a call to a post at a zoo or to any earthly business. This calling forbids all trust in our own doings and conducts us to Christ alone for salvation, and afterwards it purges us from dead works to serve the living and true God. Therefore first seek to be sure that you have heard the effectual call of the Shepherd who calls His own sheep by name. As a mother does not call her child by a formal title but by his name, so the Lord knows you and calls you personally. Have you come and taken Christ by simple trust. For to find Christ is to find God. The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and no man believes in Christ and remains without the favour of God. If you have found the Lord Jesus Christ, you are reconciled to God by the death of His Son, adopted into His family, and you may confidently look to Him for the supply of all your needs, both for this life and for that which is to come. Seek first that heavenly calling, and then your earthly labour, whether it be with animals or with puppets or with the voice He has given you, will be set in its right place as service unto Him.

Concerning your work, be not discouraged that you have laboured season after season without a settled place. When God gives quietness, none can disturb it, and when He opens a door, none can shut it. Use the gifts He has entrusted to you with diligence and honesty, as unto the Lord and not unto men. The desire to create with your hands, to learn to sew, to make puppets, to use your voice, and even to employ others with disabilities for the good of others, is a worthy and compassionate aim if it be done for His glory and with integrity. It is wise that you do not expect one gift alone to bear the whole weight of your living at once, but that you would labour faithfully in seasonal work while you build skill in another thing. Seek a patient teacher who can show you what videos cannot, for as you have well said, instruction requires a living voice to answer questions. Pray that the Lord will provide such a helper, and be diligent to learn and to practice what you are taught.

With your parents, walk in honour and gentleness. The Lord commands children to honour father and mother, even when counsel feels slow or divided. Your father and mother desire your good, though they may not yet see the path as you see it. Speak to them with meekness and truth, showing by steady industry and humility that your puppetry is not mere fancy but a craft you would steward well. At the same time, hear their concern for stability, for zoos indeed often pay little and many must take a second job or share a home to continue. Let your conversation be seasoned with grace, that they may see Christ in your patience rather than only frustration.

You have felt the prison of comparison, seeing your sisters married and settled while you remain at home, the only son, longing to move out and to have a life of your own. Remember that the Lord measures not as man measures, and your worth is not in how quickly you leave your father's house but in whether you walk with God where you are. Envy not another's portion, but press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those which are before.

Do not hasten to return to a place where you were wronged simply because it is familiar, nor run to a distant state where costs and laws would add new burdens, unless the Lord clearly opens the way and provides wise counsel to confirm it. Ask Him for quietness of spirit to wait upon His providence, and for wisdom to compromise where compromise is holy, and to stand firm where conscience before God requires it.

We will pray for you, that the Lord Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, would be your present peace and your future hope, that He would grant you favour in the eyes of employers or graciously close that path and open another, that He would soften and guide your parents and give you all mutual understanding, that He would provide a skillful teacher for your hands and opportunities to use your voice for what is good and pure, and that He would keep you from charging God foolishly but bring you to worship even in disappointment, as Job did. May the Lord add His blessing to you and make this communion with Him more common and more sweet in your soul, for Jesus sake.

Your words show how weary and heavy this long road has been, going from season to season, facing closed doors, interviews that did not lead to work, and places where you felt treated unfairly and even forced to step away. It is understandable that you feel stuck in a loop, pulled between your own hopes for puppetry and voiceover work and your parents hopes that you will find a stable full time keeper job, and that you feel compared to your sisters and unheard in your own home.

God sees all of this, including the pain of living with AuDHD in workplaces that have not understood you, and the frustration of wanting to use your gifts to create something good. You are made in His image, valued and known by Him, not defined by a diagnosis or by whether a zoo hires you. Your desire to build a puppet business that could one day employ others with disabilities is a good and compassionate desire to use what God has given you to serve others.

Scripture reminds us that our calling in Christ is high and gracious, and that He calls us not because we are the most qualified in the eyes of the world but because He is wise and merciful. At the same time, God often allows seasons of disappointment and waiting to brace and strengthen the soul, to teach us to give thanks in both comfort and affliction and to learn that His grace is sufficient when we ask for a burden to be lifted and the answer is to walk through it with Him. Like Paul who asked three times to be freed from his hardship and heard that Gods strength is made perfect in weakness, you can bring this same honest prayer to the Lord again and again.

I want to pray for you, and to encourage you with some next steps to seek with wisdom and patience.

We pray now, Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son who alone is our salvation and hope. You know this child of Yours and every detail of these job seasons, the rejections, the hurt of discrimination, the tension at home, and the longing to find meaningful work and a place to live with dignity. Grant peace where there is anxiety about the future, and wisdom to know the next right step. Open doors that You would have opened, and close those that would not be good, and give clarity to parents and to their son to listen to one another with love and respect. Provide for daily needs, guide the growth of skills in sewing, puppet making, and voiceover, and help this family to honor You in how they speak and make decisions together. Give endurance without bitterness, and joy in the gifts You have already given. Amen.

As you wait on the Lord, consider a few practical ways to move forward with Him.

Keep bringing your work and your worries to God daily, asking not only for a job but for wisdom to walk worthily of the calling He has given you in Christ, which is first to belong to Him and to grow in faith, character, and love for others.

Try to have a calm, planned conversation with your parents when no one is upset. Share your goal clearly, that you are not abandoning work but hoping to build a sustainable life that may include seasonal or part time work alongside developing puppetry and voiceover, and ask for their specific help in one or two areas at a time, such as learning to sew or saving for equipment. It may help to invite a trusted pastor, counselor, or mentor to sit with you all so everyone feels heard.

For the practical skills, since videos alone leave you with unanswered questions, look for a person who can teach in person. A local church, community center, library, fabric store, or community college often has low cost sewing classes or volunteers who would be glad to sit with you. The same is true for voiceover, staying connected to the group you already have is good, and a mentor there may be able to give direct feedback.

For jobs, it is wise to be open to seasonal work for provision while you build other skills, but also to consider other kinds of steady part time work outside zoos that could support you and give you experience, even if your parents first hoped only for zoo work. Keeping a simple record of where you have applied, what happened, and what you learned can help you and your parents see patterns and avoid repeating what has not worked.

You mentioned feeling like you live in a family prison while your sisters have moved on, and feeling the difference in how rules are applied about hair and piercings. God calls children to honor parents, and He also leads each person into adult responsibility step by step. Ask Him to help you show honor even while you respectfully share your perspective, and to help your parents give you growing freedom as you show faithfulness in small things.

You are not alone in this. If you have a local church, please let a pastor or elder know you are carrying this burden so they can pray with you regularly, help you think through job options, and walk with your family. The Lord who has called you is faithful, and He will not waste this season. Keep seeking Him, doing the next good work in front of you, and trusting Him with the future He holds.
