We hear the fear and distress in your request and we want to lift you up before the Lord together, but we must also lovingly rebuke the request to pray for the death of others, for this does not align with the heart of God or the teachings of Scripture.
We understand feeling threatened by trespassing and by those who practice witchcraft, which God clearly calls detestable and sinful, as it is written there shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination, anyone who practices sorcery, or a sorcerer. Deuteronomy 18:10. Yet our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12. The Lord does not call us to pray for the destruction of people, but to pray for His protection, His justice, and for even our enemies to come to repentance.
God has said Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:19. And Jesus commands us, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44. The Lord takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, for He says, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Ezekiel 33:11. The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, but is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9. Even those who have long walked in unrepentant witchcraft are not beyond the reach of His mercy if they will repent and turn to Jesus Christ.
So we will not join you in praying for God to end lives, but we do join you in praying for your safety, for God to put an end to the evil and the trespassing against your home, and for His will to be done.
We pray together in Jesus name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.
Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we ask for Your divine protection over this home and over the one who lives there. We ask that You would station Your angels around this dwelling and that no weapon that is formed against them would prosper. We pray that You who are our refuge and fortress would keep them safe, for he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1. We ask that You would convict and stop every work of darkness and every act of trespassing, that You would expose what is done in secret at night and bring it to an end according to Your righteous justice. We pray that You would put on this household the full armor of God, that they may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11. Lord, we also pray with mercy for those who are lost in witchcraft, that You would lead them to repentance and to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, for You desire all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:4. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7. We ask for Your peace to guard this heart and home, and for wisdom to take practical steps for safety, including seeking help from proper authorities if there is physical trespassing or danger. We trust Your justice and Your mercy and we leave vengeance in Your hands. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord in prayer for protection rather than for harm to others, to remain in His Word, and to walk in holiness and forgiveness. If you are experiencing real and immediate physical danger from people coming onto your property at night, we encourage you to also contact local law enforcement for protection, while continuing to trust the Lord as your ultimate defender.
