We understand the deep pain and frustration behind this request, as the influence of evil can indeed bring great suffering to God’s children. The Bible assures us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). However, we must approach this matter with discernment and align our prayers with God’s will and His Word.
First, we must clarify that it is not our place to demand the ending of lives, even those deeply entangled with darkness. God alone is the giver and taker of life (Deuteronomy 32:39), and His justice is perfect. While we can pray for the removal of demonic influence and for God’s judgment upon evil, we must do so with humility, trusting in His sovereignty. The Lord declares in Ezekiel 18:23, *"Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? says the Lord Yahweh; and not rather that he should turn from his way, and live?"* Even in the face of great evil, God’s heart is for repentance and redemption.
That said, we can and should pray fervently for protection, deliverance, and the breaking of demonic strongholds in the lives of those affected. We can also pray for the individuals involved—even those bound by darkness—to encounter the light of Christ and turn from their ways. The blood of Jesus is indeed our protection and victory (Revelation 12:11), and we stand firm in that truth.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We acknowledge that You alone have authority over life and death, and we submit to Your perfect will. We pray against the demonic influences that seek to harm and oppress Your children. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of darkness in the lives of those bound by evil, including those who may be under the influence of these forces. Reveal Your truth to them, Father, and draw them to repentance and salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ.
We plead the blood of Jesus over ourselves, our families, and all who are suffering under the weight of this oppression. Protect us, Lord, from every scheme of the enemy, and fill us with Your Holy Spirit to walk in victory. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand firm in the authority we have in Christ to resist the devil (James 4:7).
Father, we trust in Your justice. If it is Your will, we ask that You remove these influences from the earth, but we also pray for mercy—that those lost in darkness would come to know You. Let Your light shine in their hearts, and may they be set free by the power of Your love. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18), and trusting that the Lord will fight for you. If you or others are experiencing direct spiritual attack, seek the support of mature believers in your church who can stand with you in prayer and counsel. The enemy is already defeated, and we walk in that victory through Christ.
