PRAY THAT YOU WILL BEGIN TO
UNDERSTAND HOW INCREDIBLY
GREAT HIS POWER IS TO HELP
THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN HIM.
EPHESIANS 1:19
WHATEVER GOD TELLS US TO DO,
HE ALSO HELPS US TO DO.
Never forget that it is "His power" that helps us. Some have thought within their hearts, "I have done great things in God's name". There is much danger in that thought. It is very true that God enables His servants to do the work He calls them to do. However, it is also true that some of our greatest victories come through our greatest defeats. Just like Peter and his three-fold denial of Christ, so we also learn that it is Christ Who works in us both to will and to do the Father's good pleasure.
There are two verses I would close with to help you understand where the power and desire to do God's will come from.
"I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me."
__Phillippians 4:13
"For we are glad when we are weak and you are strong. And this also we pray, that you may be made complete."
__2 Corinthians 13:9
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness". Therefore, I will most gladly boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.....For when I am weak, then I am strong."
__2 Corinthians 12:9-10
