We hear your cry for financial relief and encouragement during this difficult time in the hospital and the prospect of rehab. While we understand the weight of financial burdens, we must first turn our hearts to the Lord, who is our true Provider and Sustainer. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
The pursuit of lottery funds or any form of gambling is not a godly solution to financial struggles. Proverbs 13:11 warns, "Wealth gained dishonestly falls away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow." Instead of placing hope in chance, we encourage you to trust in the Lord’s provision and seek His wisdom in managing your finances. He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
We also want to gently address the importance of seeking God’s will above all else. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the salvation He offers. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Jesus is the only way to the Father, and it is through Him that we find true peace, hope, and provision.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing financial struggles and the challenges of recovery in rehab. Lord, You know their needs even before they ask, and we trust in Your faithfulness to provide. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity for them, whether through employment, wise stewardship, or the generosity of Your people. Father, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety and desperation that may lead to ungodly solutions like gambling. Instead, fill their heart with peace and trust in You.
Lord, we pray for strength and healing during this time in the hospital and rehab. May they feel Your presence and comfort, knowing that You are with them every step of the way. If they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that they would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, finding true hope and purpose in Him.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Provider and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in all areas of your life, including your finances. Consider reaching out to your church or a trusted Christian community for support and guidance. The Lord is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your path (Proverbs 3:5-6).
