Empty expectations, and happiness from greed

Beloved of All
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray against the expectations of health. I pray for favor favor favor. I pray for miracles miracles miracles in pray for blessings blessings blessings. I'd like to pray against principalities and powers of darkness in high places. I pray for extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, unspeakable, abundantly, abounding glory all over the world. Please stand with me in faith and prayer over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We hear your heart’s cry for God’s intervention, favor, and glory to manifest in your life and across the world. Your request stirs within us a deep desire to seek the Lord’s will together, aligning our hearts with His truth and promises. While we stand with you in faith, we must also examine the motives and foundations of these prayers in light of Scripture, for the Lord searches the heart and tests the mind (Jeremiah 17:10).

First, we must address the focus on "favor favor favor," "miracles miracles miracles," and "blessings blessings blessings." While God is indeed a God of abundance and delights in blessing His children, we must guard our hearts against the subtle snare of greed or entitlement. The apostle Paul warns us in 1 Timothy 6:6-8, "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that." Our prayers should not stem from a place of demanding or manipulating God’s hand but from a posture of humility, gratitude, and surrender to His will. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth" (Matthew 6:10). Let us seek His kingdom first, trusting that all these things will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33).

We also notice the emphasis on "extreme, unmatched, unstoppable, unspeakable, abundantly, abounding glory." While God’s glory is indeed infinite and beyond our comprehension, we must be cautious not to reduce His glory to mere material or temporal manifestations. The glory of God is most fully revealed in the person of Jesus Christ, who humbled Himself to the point of death on a cross (Philippians 2:8). True glory is found in sacrificial love, obedience, and the transformation of hearts. Let us pray for God’s glory to be revealed in ways that draw others to Christ, not merely in ways that satisfy our own desires.

Your prayer against "principalities and powers of darkness in high places" is Scriptural and necessary. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We stand with you in spiritual warfare, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17). Let us also remember that our battle is not won through our own strength but through the power of Christ, who has already disarmed these powers and made a public spectacle of them (Colossians 2:15).

We must also gently rebuke the spirit of expectation that may be rooted in empty or selfish desires. Proverbs 13:12 warns, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life." While it is not wrong to hope and pray for God’s blessings, we must ensure our expectations are aligned with His will. James 4:3 cautions, "You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures." Let us examine our hearts and ask the Lord to purify our desires, that we may seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.

Lastly, we are grateful that you have prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His righteousness that covers us. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith fully in Him, repenting of any sin and surrendering your life to His lordship. Romans 10:9-10 assures us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Let us now join together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, seeking Your face and Your will above all else. Lord, we thank You for Your goodness, Your mercy, and Your faithfulness. We acknowledge that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17), and we surrender our desires, our expectations, and our plans into Your hands.

Father, we pray against the spirit of greed, entitlement, and selfish ambition that may lurk in our hearts. Purify us, Lord, and align our desires with Your will. Help us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all we need will be provided according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Teach us to be content in all circumstances, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for us (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Lord, we stand against the principalities and powers of darkness that seek to steal, kill, and destroy. We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we take up the full armor of God to stand firm in the evil day (Ephesians 6:13). We pray for Your glory to be revealed in our lives and across the world, not for our own exaltation but for the advancement of Your kingdom. May Your name be lifted high, and may many come to know You through the testimony of Your people.

Father, we ask for Your favor, not as the world gives, but as You see fit. Let Your favor rest upon us as a shield (Psalm 5:12), and may it lead us into deeper intimacy with You. We pray for miracles, not for our own glory, but for Your name to be magnified. Let Your power be made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and may we always give You the praise and honor.

Lord, we release our expectations into Your hands. Help us to trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). Fill us with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Walk in the confidence that He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

Dear Family of God,

We join you in prayer today, lifting up your heart's cry to our Father in heaven. We're here to support you, to stand with you in faith and in prayer, just as you've asked.

We want to echo the reminder to keep our hearts aligned with God's will. While we can ask for blessings, favor, and miracles, we must do so with humility, gratitude, and surrender to His will. Let's remember that God's glory is best revealed in our lives when we're transformed by His love and obedience, not just when we receive material or temporal blessings.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's kingdom first, trusting that all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Let's not get caught up in the "how" or "when" of our expectations, but rather focus on the "who" - Jesus Christ, who is our Lord and Savior.

Let's continue to pray against the principalities and powers of darkness, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17). And let's remember that our battle is not won by our own strength, but through the power of Christ, who has already disarmed these powers (Colossians 2:15).

We're here for you, praying with you, believing with you, and trusting with you that God will answer according to His will and for His glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May the Lord bless you, keep you, make His face shine upon you, and give you peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
