Employers and Employees
Kindness between employers and employees builds mutual respect and demands fair treatment from both sides.
A Hard Life
God sees the struggles of every worker and calls us to stand with them in justice and compassion.
Lions Lacking — But the Children Satisfied
Those who seek God find every true need met, no matter their circumstances.
We join you in prayer for good, stable and well paying employment and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no other name. Acts 4:12.

We understand the urgency and the weight of needing provision and stability, and we bring your need before the Lord who knows your situation and cares for you deeply. We are encouraged that you desire God to guide you, for He promises to direct our steps when we commit our ways to Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the need for employment that is stable, honest, and sufficient to provide. We ask that You open the right doors and close the wrong ones, and guide to the job that You have prepared. Grant favor with employers, clarity in applications and interviews, and peace while waiting. Provide not only income but purposeful work where gifts can be used for Your glory. Establish the work of our hands for us, yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17. We trust that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him first while you seek work, for He promises, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3. And we remember that whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. This means we work with diligence, integrity, and excellence as a testimony to Him, even as we trust Him for the outcome.

We encourage you to be diligent in the practical steps, applying, following up, stewarding the skills and opportunities God has given, networking, and being faithful in small things while you wait, knowing that God’s timing is perfect and His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. Do not be anxious, but bring every request to God with thanksgiving, and His peace will guard your heart.

We will continue to pray that the Lord guides you quickly to stable employment that meets your needs and allows you to provide, to give, and to serve Him through your work.

We hear how much weight is on this for you right now, and how urgently you need stable, good work. Waiting and searching day after day can wear down hope and make you question your worth, but your value before God is not measured by a paycheck. We are standing with you in prayer for open doors and clear guidance.

One step that often helps in this season is not carrying the search alone. If you have a local church, consider asking a pastor or a small employment support group there if they meet with people in job transitions. Just having a few others to share leads with, practice interviews, and pray with can ease the isolation and keep momentum when applications feel discouraging. Keeping a simple daily rhythm for searching, reaching out to contacts, and resting can also help protect your energy while you wait.

If finances are getting tight while you look, a trusted financial counselor through a church or community agency can sometimes help you make a short-term plan without added pressure.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask for Your provision and direction in this job search. Open the right door for stable, good work and give wisdom for each application and conversation. Guard his heart from discouragement and remind him daily that he is seen and cared for by You. Provide for his needs in the meantime and lead him step by step. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for employment has been heard and we have carried it before the Lord with you, asking in the name of Jesus who alone is our access to the Father.

We know what it is when employment fails and providence seems to frown, for in a thousand ways the Lord proves to His people that they need His help in these temporal matters. Yet this is our comfort, that the same God who will afterward receive His people to glory has promised to guide them with His counsel here below. His wisdom is our guidance, His love our shield, and His infinite storehouse our supply.

Take then this word for your present need, Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel. To be guided by His counsel is to bow with submission to His will, to avoid everything that is evil, to walk in the great principles of honesty, diligence and the fear of the Lord, and to wait upon Him without haste. Haste is the author of much mischief, but he that waits for divine guidance shall not be put to shame. There is no true glory in taking our own course, but there is peace and safety in leaving our way in His hands.

We pray for you now that the Lord who fed His servant when he was but a shepherd boy will open a door of suitable labour for you, work that is honest, stable and sufficient for your daily needs, and that He will give you favour with those who offer it. May He guide your feet to the right place, give you wisdom to seek diligently and to commend yourself by faithfulness, and keep your heart from anxiety while you wait upon His providence. May this season of seeking teach you more deeply to trust not in the uncertain wage of man but in the goodness of the Good Shepherd which never fails.

We ask the Father to provide for you according to His riches in Christ, to establish the work of your hands, and to make even this trial work for your good and His glory. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
