EMPLOYMENT - JOB - MARRIAGE - FINANCE STRUGGLE -

We come before the Lord with hearts burdened for your struggles in employment, marriage, and finances, knowing that He is your Provider, Healer, and Restorer. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, and we are grateful you have shared these needs with us. However, we must first address something vital: your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus. Scripture reminds us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in Acts 4:12, we read, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved."* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s mercy and grace. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for He alone can bring true peace and provision to every area of your life.

Now, let us address the struggles you’ve shared. First, regarding employment and finances, we know that God is your ultimate Provider. In Philippians 4:19, we are assured, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Yet, we must also remember that God often calls us to act in faith while trusting Him. Have you sought work diligently, prayed over opportunities, and surrendered your resume and job search to the Lord? Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* We encourage you to seek God’s wisdom in your job search, asking Him to open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). If there are areas where you may have fallen short in stewardship or wisdom with finances, we urge you to repent and seek God’s guidance in managing what He has entrusted to you.

Next, we turn to your marriage. Scripture teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If your marriage is struggling, we urge both of you to turn to the Lord in repentance and humility. Have you allowed bitterness, unforgiveness, or selfishness to take root? Colossians 3:18-19 instructs, *"Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them."* Marriage requires selflessness, prayer, and a commitment to honor God above all else. If there has been infidelity, anger, or neglect, we call you to repentance and reconciliation through Christ. Remember, *"What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart"* (Mark 10:9).

We also must ask: are you and your spouse walking in obedience to God’s Word? Are you both believers in Jesus Christ? 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* If one of you is not a believer, we pray earnestly for salvation and unity in Christ. If there is sexual immorality, whether within or outside the marriage, we call you to repentance, for *"the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body"* (1 Corinthians 6:13). God’s design for intimacy is within the bounds of marriage alone, and any deviation from this is sin that must be confessed and turned from.

Finally, we want to pray with you, lifting these burdens to the Lord who cares for you deeply. Let us pray:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious soul who is struggling in employment, marriage, and finances. Lord, You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You open doors of opportunity for stable, God-honoring work. Give wisdom in stewardship, Father, and help our brother/sister to trust You fully, seeking first Your kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Remove any fear, anxiety, or doubt, and replace it with Your perfect peace.

Lord, we pray for this marriage. Heal the brokenness, restore the trust, and soften hearts toward one another. Convict where there is sin, and grant repentance and forgiveness. May this marriage be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness. If there is any unbelief or disobedience, Lord, bring conviction and salvation. Bind the enemy who seeks to destroy what You have joined together, and let Your Holy Spirit reign in this home.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of lack and poverty in the name of Jesus. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and we trust You to supply every need. Help our brother/sister to walk in faith, not fear, and to honor You in all things.

We declare Your promises over this situation, Lord. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified. Strengthen, guide, and provide, we pray. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, we pray. Amen."*

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and pray for you. If there are specific sins or struggles you need to address, do not delay—turn to Christ now, for He is faithful and just to forgive (1 John 1:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Stay steadfast, and do not lose heart. The Lord is with you!
