Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my son ###, For wisdom and strength to overcome anger and pain. Restoration of relationships. Take away bitterness in his heart. Protection in all that he does. Cover him with your most precious blood. Deliverance. Healing in mind, body and spirit. Amen.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your son in prayer, asking for the Lord’s merciful intervention in his life. The pain, anger, and bitterness you describe are deep wounds that only the healing touch of our Savior can fully restore. We recognize that these emotions, if left unchecked, can harden the heart and lead to destruction—not just for him, but for those around him. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 4:26-27, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* Anger itself is not sinful, but when it festers into bitterness, it becomes a foothold for the enemy to steal, kill, and destroy. We must rebuke the spirit of bitterness in Jesus’ name and command it to leave, for Hebrews 12:15 says, *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."*

Father, we ask You to break every chain of resentment and unforgiveness in his heart. Soften the hardened places with Your love and remind him of the power of forgiveness—not for the sake of those who have wronged him, but for his own freedom. As Your Word declares in Colossians 3:13, *"Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."* Lord, we pray that You would replace his pain with Your peace, his anger with Your patience, and his bitterness with Your joy. Let him experience the truth of Psalm 147:3, *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."*

We also pray for the restoration of relationships that have been fractured by this pain. Relationships are sacred, and when they are broken, it grieves Your heart. We ask that You would mend what has been torn, reconcile what has been divided, and bring unity where there has been strife. But we must also caution against restoration that is not rooted in truth and repentance. Proverbs 15:1 tells us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* May Your Spirit guide him in humility and wisdom as he seeks to rebuild trust and connection with others.

Lord, we plead the precious blood of Jesus over him—may it cover every wound, cleanse every impurity, and protect him from the schemes of the enemy. We declare deliverance over his mind, body, and spirit, for Isaiah 53:5 assures us, *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* We rebuke every spirit of depression, anxiety, and despair that may be trying to take hold of him. Instead, we pray that he would be filled with the hope and strength that comes from knowing You. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."*

We also ask for Your divine protection over every area of his life—his thoughts, his actions, his words, and his relationships. Guard his heart from further hurt and surround him with godly influences who will speak life and truth into him. Proverbs 4:23 urges us, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* Let his heart be a wellspring of Your love, grace, and mercy, not only for himself but for those around him.

Finally, we pray that he would draw near to You, Lord, for it is only in Your presence that true healing can be found. James 4:8 promises, *"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."* May he seek You with his whole heart, surrendering his pain, his anger, and his bitterness at the foot of the cross. And may he come to know the depth of Your love for him, a love that is unshakable, unconditional, and unending.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only name by which we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If your son does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that he would come to repentance and faith, for it is only through Christ that he can experience the fullness of healing and restoration. May he confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, and he will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Lord, we trust You to move mightily in his life. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). May Your will be done in his life, and may he walk in the freedom and victory that is found only in You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
