Please pray for me about some emotional/verbal abuse I had to suffer at the hands of my brother-in-law and his friends and family at a party that was had for his birthday the other night. Please pray that God will defend me against all these evil individuals, expose them and remove them from my life. Please also pray for me about some verbal attacks I suffered from random strangers in an online group that was supposed to be for abuse survivors the other day as I am continually disturbed by what I experienced at the hands of those people. Please pray that I will not be psychologically, emotionally or physically harmed by what I experienced at the hands of these people or others who are trying to harm me. Pray that all people being abused around the world would not be impacted by the tactics of their abusers at all but that their evil would roll right off of us and not affect us.

We are deeply grieved to hear of the emotional and verbal abuse you have endured, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who is your defender, healer, and strong tower. It is heartbreaking when those who should show love—even family—or those who claim to be a safe space, like an abuse survivor group, instead inflict further pain. But take heart, beloved, for the Lord sees all things, and He will not allow the wicked to triumph forever. His Word declares in **Psalm 34:18-19**, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not forgotten, and your pain has not gone unnoticed by Heaven.

The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give you life abundantly. The verbal attacks and emotional abuse you suffered are not just personal wounds—they are spiritual battles. **Ephesians 6:12** reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* These people who have harmed you are being used as instruments of the enemy, but their words do not have the final say. The Lord is your shield, and He will silence every lying tongue that rises against you.

We must also address the danger of bitterness or fear taking root in your heart. **Hebrews 12:15** warns, *"Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."* While it is right to seek justice and protection, we pray that the Lord guards your heart from unforgiveness, which can become a snare. You are not responsible for the sins of others, but you *are* responsible for how you respond. Trust that God will repay (Romans 12:19), and focus on healing in His presence.

For those in the online group who claimed to be survivors yet turned on you, this is a painful betrayal. But even in this, the Lord is exposing the wolves in sheep’s clothing. **Matthew 7:15-16** says, *"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. By their fruits you will know them."* You do not need to carry the weight of their words. Cast them upon the Lord, who judges righteously.

Now, let us pray together for you and for all who are suffering under abuse:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your beloved child who has endured such cruel and unjust treatment. Lord, You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), and You have seen every hurtful word, every mocking glance, every attempt to tear down what You are building up in this precious one. We ask that You would be their vindicator, their defender, and their healer. Rise up, O God, and scatter their enemies (Psalm 68:1). Expose the darkness in these individuals—bring their deeds to light, convict their hearts, and if they refuse to repent, remove them from this child’s life completely. Break every ungodly soul tie and every word curse spoken over them.

Father, we bind every spirit of fear, anxiety, depression, and trauma that seeks to take root from these attacks. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment of the enemy against their mind, emotions, and body. Your Word says in **Isaiah 54:17**, *'No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,’* says Yahweh. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises in judgment is already condemned by Your righteous decree.

Lord, we also pray for the online group and every place where abuse survivors gather. Expose the wolves, Lord. Purify these spaces. Raise up godly, compassionate leaders who will truly reflect Your heart for the broken. And for our sister or brother here, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). Heal their wounds, restore their joy, and let them walk in the confidence that they are *more than a conqueror* through Christ (Romans 8:37).

Finally, Father, we lift up every person worldwide who is suffering under abuse—whether emotional, verbal, physical, or spiritual. Let Your justice roll like a river (Amos 5:24). Break the chains of the oppressed. Give them supernatural strength to forgive, supernatural wisdom to set boundaries, and supernatural faith to trust You in the process. Let Your love be a balm to their souls, and let them know they are not alone.

We rebuke the spirit of abuse in Jesus’ name. We command every demonic influence over these situations to be bound and cast out. Holy Spirit, fill every void, every wound, every broken place with Your presence. Let this beloved one arise stronger, wiser, and more rooted in Your love than ever before.

We thank You, Father, that You are already at work. We trust You to bring beauty from these ashes (Isaiah 61:3). In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."

Beloved, we encourage you to spend time in **Psalm 91** and **Psalm 27** daily. Declare God’s promises over yourself. If you have not already, consider setting firm boundaries with those who have harmed you—even if it means limiting or cutting off contact. Seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, biblical counselor, or trusted believer who can walk with you in this season. And remember: **you are not what they say you are. You are who God says you are—fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), chosen, redeemed, and deeply loved.**

If you have not yet surrendered this pain fully to Jesus, we urge you to do so. He is the only One who can truly heal and restore. If you need prayer for strength to forgive or wisdom on how to proceed, let us know—we are here to stand with you. You are not alone in this. The body of Christ is with you, and most importantly, *Jesus is with you*. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes on Him.

We're so sorry to hear about the hurt you've experienced, both at the hands of your brother-in-law and his friends, and from strangers in an online group meant for support. It's devastating when those who should offer love and safety instead cause pain. But remember, God sees all, and He will not let the wicked triumph forever (Psalm 34:18-19).

We want to pray for you, dear friend. We ask that God would defend you against these individuals, expose their actions, and remove them from your life if necessary. We also pray for healing from the verbal attacks you suffered online. May you not be psychologically, emotionally, or physically harmed by these experiences. We bind every spirit of fear, anxiety, depression, and trauma that seeks to take root in your heart, and we cancel every assignment of the enemy against your mind, emotions, and body.

We also pray for all abuse survivors worldwide. May God's justice roll like a river, breaking the chains of the oppressed, and giving them supernatural strength to forgive, wisdom to set boundaries, and faith to trust Him in the process. Let His love be a balm to their souls, and let them know they are not alone.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

And remember, you are not defined by the words or actions of others. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, chosen, redeemed, and deeply loved (Psalm 139:14). Keep your eyes on Jesus, for He is with you always (Hebrews 13:5).
