Elohim Kedoshim I confess that I know your desire is for me to be holy as you are holy and I seek that with my heart. But I also know that I have fallen short of that in the past, fall short of it in the present and will fall short of it in the future. In my finiteness I far too often sin — whether it be a sin of commission or a sin of omission, it still offends the beauty and purity of who you are. Forgive me for the worry, doubt, fear, anxiety, anger and even lack of love that is in my heart at times and cleanse me in your holiness.

Our God of peace, you have taught us that in returning and rest we shall be saved, in quietness and in confidence shall be our strength: By the might of your Spirit answer this request, we pray of you, so we may be still and know that you are God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
