We are truly saddened to hear about this elderly woman's struggle, but we are here to intercede and pray with the faith that God can turn any situation around. It's important to remember that God cares for the brokenhearted and is close to those who are crushed in spirit. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Firstly, we need to pray for her salvation and that she knows Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, so she has the hope of seeing her believing loved ones again. As it says in John 11:25, "Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies.'" It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
We also pray that God will heal her from her suicidal thoughts. This is not God's will for her. In Ephesians 6:12, we are told, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We have power over these evil thoughts and forces, and in prayer, we will give her strength to do this.
Lord, we come before You, lifting up this precious daughter to You. We pray that You will comfort her in her grief, and fill her heart with Your peace. Help her to cast all her anxiety on You because You care for her. We rebuke the spirit of suicide that is tormenting her, and we command it to leave her in Jesus' name. Lord, restore her health and give her Your joy and assurance. Help her to know You as her Lord and Savior, and give her the hope of eternal life with You and her believing loved ones. Surround her with Your love, and send believers into her life to support and encourage her. Show her that her life is precious and that You have a purpose for her. In Jesus' name, we pray.
We also encourage you to spend time with her, listen to her, and share God's love and word. Remind her of God's promises and that He carries our burdens. If possible, connect her with a local pastor for counseling or a local Christian psychiatrist to assist her with her struggles.
