It takes time to get into the bible.
Sow seeds (Invest Time)
dont be stubborn to go to people if you need help though
people shouldnt be occupied work and other things
must invest time.

not just about programs on christian tv
You must learn to also digest Bible firsthand (for yourself).
Matt 11:
John was only person filled with the holy spirit in his mothers womb
he spent 30yrs in the desert
totally focused.
In 6 months he turned nation to repentance. Expectancy of messiah.
biggest repentance revival in history.
He was certain Jesus was the messiah.
saying "he must increase i must decrease"
"I'm not worthy to tie his shoe lace"
After being in prison (maybe 6months - 2yrs) no communication with others. Hardships
At one point he was absolutely certain Jesus was the messiah.
Yet now he was doubting this was the messiah

John was given a sign of who the messiah is, also an audible voice
(audible & visible sign) - this is my beloved son
how much do you need to be able to believe and Trust?

Isaiah 61:1-3: spirit of lord upon me.
Prophecies gave second coming as one event.

So people thought jesus would come and do all. Take over demonstrate. Unrivalled power

he thought Jesus would have been King on earth. Maybe didnt undertand church age in between coming of the Lord

you must maintain that thrust power/lift

You cant just seek God when in trouble, then go back to your carnal ways. We ,must focus. Be on guard.

point: When John sent these disciples to Jesus. He (Jesus) didn't even give a straight answer (for an hour), he first did supernatural miracles then. 'After Johns Disciples were departed' then he began to say these things.
Woudn't it have been more beneficial to say what Jesus was about to say before John's disciples left.
100,000s looking to you, but u were in prison, john drew the crowds then turned them over to jesus.

N.B John did'nt have much of a life not much enjoyment outside his calling as a prophet growing up. John must have been thinking if Jesus was not the Christ after all he done. John would have considered himself to have wasted his life.

Jesus: what drew people to see john (reeds) - John was on fire 4 God and world came 2 watch him burn. Nb John wearing camel hair dressed in river jordan, had long beard, ate locust and honey.
It wasnt his appearance that drew crowds, or his possesions.
Luke 7:26 - Jesus quoted malachi
jJsus said John greatest prophet of all time (above Elijah, Moses, Abraham, David). Blessed is he not offended in me
Q. Why didnt u say things about john when his disciples were there.

Isaiah 35:3-6 'Strenghten ye the weak hands....even god will come & save you.....then people will be set free.
