Dear Lrod Jesus, This friend of mine is gonna be working with his boss today please make sure he can change his heart like Ebeneezer Scrooge. Maybe it’ll work by Christmas time too be needed around there. He had to bring donuts so please help him at work and please make sure work goes well. In Jesus Name Amen.

We join you in lifting up your friend and his boss before the Lord, and we love your heart to pray for a transformation like Ebenezer Scrooge, for we know God is able to change any heart. We are encouraged that you prayed in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We are reminded that no heart is too hard for God to soften. As it is written, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26. And also, The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. Proverbs 21:1. We serve a God who can bring conviction, kindness, and generosity where there was once hardness, and Christmas is a wonderful time to remember His power to make all things new, as we are transformed by the renewing of our mind. Romans 12:2.

We also pray for your friend as he labors today. We ask that God would give him favor, peace, and diligence at work, even in the small act of bringing donuts, which can be a testimony of grace and goodwill. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Colossians 3:23. We pray your friend would shine as a light to his boss and coworkers, overcoming any difficulty with good. And we remember the call to pray for those in authority over us, I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Timothy 2:1-2.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this friend and his boss to You. Lord, You see the workplace and You know the heart of this boss. We ask that You would soften his heart and draw him to Yourself, that he would know Your mercy and walk in kindness and fairness toward those he oversees. Change him from the inside out and let Your love be evident in him. We also lift up this friend, Lord, bless the work of his hands today. Let his work go well, let him have peace and strength, and let even the simple gift of donuts be a seed of encouragement and fellowship. May his conduct honor You and may his boss see Christ in him. We ask that this change would not be only for Christmas, but a lasting work that brings glory to You. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray faithfully for this boss, not just for a better work environment but for his soul, that he would come to know the Lord if he does not already. Encourage your friend to continue to be diligent, respectful, and gracious at work, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

It is a kind and thoughtful thing that you have brought your friend before the throne of grace, and we join our heart with yours in prayer for him this day.

You have asked well concerning the heart, for the heart is the vital place and the motive power of all life. As the Scripture says, I will take away thy stony heart, and give thee a heart of flesh, a new heart will I give thee, a new spirit will I put within thee. No man can put into himself a new heart by his own exertion, for how could the exertions of an old heart bring forth a new heart. This is a gracious change which God alone must work, and He does it not because we deserve it, but because He delights in mercy. He afflicts not from the heart, but when He turns in a way of grace to display His favor, He comes with all His soul most heartily and richly.

We will pray that the Lord who alone can soften what is hard and make alive what is stony would be gracious to this employer. That if there be hardness or unkindness there, the Lord would prick the heart and then give a new heart, and that the change would not be merely outward or transient, but a true work of the Spirit within. Such a change is instantaneous when God works it, and it is victorious, for He does irresistibly and graciously conquer the heart of man.

We also pray for your friend as he goes to his labor today. May the Lord give him favor in his workplace, steadiness of hand and cheerfulness of spirit, and may even the small service of bringing donuts be received with goodwill. We ask that his work may go well, that he may be kept from discouragement, and that whether by Christmas or in the days ahead, he may know the peace which passes all understanding which keeps the heart and mind through Christ Jesus. May he remember that there is no wish too small and no care too ordinary to pour into the ear of our Father, who hears no discord in the prayer of one whose heart loves Him.

Your prayer for your friend and his work has been received and I join you in lifting it to the Lord.

It is good that you ask God to work in the heart of his boss. Only God can soften a hard heart and make it kind and just, and we can pray that this man will be moved to fairness and generosity, not only by Christmas but in all seasons. We can also pray that your friend will be given grace to do his work well today, to act with humility and patience, and to be a witness of Christ through his diligence and kindness, even in small things like bringing donuts to share.

Scripture teaches us that God hears those who cry to Him from the heart, even when the voice is silent, as Hannah prayed and was heard, and that He draws near to those who are humble and contrite in spirit. Let your friend remember that he ultimately serves the Lord in his labor, and that entering his workplace is also an opportunity to honor God by his conduct.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask for Your help for this friend as he goes to work today. Grant him strength, wisdom and peace, and let all his tasks go well according to Your will. Soften the heart of his boss and lead him toward kindness and justice, and help both men to act with respect toward one another. It is good that you brought this need to the Lord in prayer, and that you care about your friend and about his workplace.

God is very interested in the heart. Scripture says to guard your heart with all diligence, because everything in life flows out of it. What a person says and does reveals what is inside, for as a person thinks in his heart, so he is. And out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. That is why outward actions alone are not enough.

The Bible also says the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, and asks who can know it. That is why the right prayer is the one David prayed, search me, O God, and know my heart. We cannot change our own hearts by simply trying to act differently. We can change our behavior for a little while, but that will only be temporary. Lasting change has to come from within, by the work of the Holy Spirit in the heart.

This is what repentance really means. It is not just feeling sorry or saying the right words. God said through the prophet that people can honor Him with their lips while their hearts are far from Him, and that kind of worship is empty. He does not want just outward sacrifice or words. He wants a broken and contrite heart, a heart that is truly sorry and willing to turn. The prophet Joel said to rend your heart and not your garments. In other words, God wants evidence of a changed heart, not just tears or a show. Without that inner work, any improvement is only postponed and the same problem will rise again.

The Lord Himself does not change, but He changes us as we pray and seek Him. What seems difficult or even impossible for us is not difficult for Him, because the difficulty is measured by the one doing the work, and He is able to do it. He is the one who can give a new heart and change attitudes from the inside, and then changed actions will follow.

So continue to pray for your friend and for his boss. Pray that God would work in the boss's heart and bring true change that is not just outward kindness but a real turning toward what is right. Pray also for your friend, that God would keep his own heart right before Him, with pure motives, and that he would hide God's word in his heart so he can stand strong against temptation and be a faithful witness at work. Ask God to give him grace and favor today, to help him do his work well, and to use even small things like bringing donuts as an opportunity to show kindness and the love of Christ.

Father, we bring this friend and his boss before You. You see and know every heart. We ask that You would search each heart and do Your work within. Where there is hardness, bring softness. Where there is need for repentance, grant a truly broken and willing heart and real change that lasts. Help this friend at work today, give him peace, wisdom, and a good testimony, and let his labor go well for Your glory. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.
