Eating, ideal weight, gastritis...

Beloved of All
To eat exactly what my body needs today. In right amount and right time. Gastritis, muscles regeneration, rest, sleep, dropping to my ideal weight ### kg for now.

We join with you in bringing your body and your daily needs before the Lord, asking for His healing, wisdom and grace over every area you mentioned, your eating, your gastritis, your sleep and rest, your muscle regeneration and your desire to reach a healthy ideal weight.

We are reminded that our bodies belong to the Lord and we are called to steward them well. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. And Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31. This means eating with thanksgiving, with self control and with discernment, not from anxiety or compulsion but to nourish the temple He has given us. Self control is part of the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self control. Galatians 5:22-23. We pray the Lord will give you that gentle self control to eat exactly what your body needs today, in the right amount and at the right time, and to rest when your body needs rest.

We also lift up your gastritis and muscle regeneration and sleep before our Healer. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2-3. And Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2. For sleep we remember It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. Psalm 127:2. We ask Him to calm any inflammation in your stomach, to bring healing to your digestive system, to restore your muscles, and to grant you deep, restorative sleep. We also pray for wisdom to reach and maintain a healthy weight not out of vanity or pressure, but as good stewardship, presenting your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. Romans 12:1. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. So we come before God trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, believing He died for our sins and rose again, and that by calling on His name we are forgiven and brought near to God.

So we pray together now, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You for creating this body and for caring about every detail of our health. We ask You to touch and heal the gastritis, to soothe the stomach lining, to guide in wise food choices that nourish and do not harm, and to give discernment for what to eat, how much and when. Grant grace for discipline without harshness, and freedom from anxiety about food and weight. We ask for complete muscle regeneration and strength, for peaceful and uninterrupted sleep, and for true rest for body and soul. Guide this one to an ideal weight that honors You and allows for health and energy to serve You well. Fill this one with Your peace that surpasses understanding and help each meal to be received with thanksgiving and contentment. We trust You as our Healer and Provider and we ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We hear you wanting to get this in balance today, eating what your body truly needs at the right time and in the right amount, while you deal with gastritis and want better rest, muscle recovery and sleep as you work toward a healthier weight. That is a lot to carry at once, and it makes sense you would want peace and steadiness in it.

We admire that you want to honor your body and not swing between extremes. When weight, stomach pain and poor sleep all press at the same time, it can feel discouraging and hard to know what is helping.

One steady next step alongside prayer can be to share what you described with your primary care doctor, and if helpful a registered dietitian familiar with stomach concerns, so they can look at your overall health and guide you in a safe, personal way. You do not have to figure out the timing and amounts alone.

We are praying for you and will keep you in prayer.

Father, we lift our friend to You today. You know the discomfort of gastritis, the tiredness, and the desire to care for this body You created. Grant wisdom to those who care for them, bring restful sleep and restoration, and give peace as they take one day at a time. Lead them gently in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request concerning your body, your eating, your sleep and your health has been brought before the Lord, and we join our prayers with yours.

We hear in your words a desire not for indulgence nor for vanity, but for stewardship, that you might eat what your body truly needs, in right measure and at right season, and that you might know health and strength to serve the Lord. The Scripture reminds us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost, and that we are to glorify God therein with soberness and temperance. To seek healing for the inward parts, to desire restful sleep and the renewing of strength, is a lawful and comely prayer.

You speak of gastritis and of weariness, of muscles needing restoration and of sleep that has been broken. We are told in the Word that the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ has healing virtue. Our great Physician does not merely point out the disease, He brings the remedy, for healing and pardon flow together from the same pierced hand. When He healed the palsied man He first said, Thy sins be forgiven thee, to show that the soul and the body are both under His care. We may therefore come boldly and ask Him to lay His healing hand upon that inward inflammation which troubles you, to calm and to restore what is inflamed and tender.

And concerning sleep, remember the sweet promise, So he giveth his beloved sleep. There is a sleep of contentment and of security which God giveth to His beloved, a rest which is not forced by weariness but bestowed by love. We pray that He would grant you such sleep, quiet, deep and refreshing, that your frame might be recruited and your strength renewed, for sleep is His appointed means to fit us for fresh service when we awake. May He teach you to cast your cares upon Him, that you may not eat the bread of carefulness through anxious watching, but lie down in peace under His watchful eye.

We pray also for wisdom and self control in all your eating, that appetite may be governed by need and not by craving, and that you may find that holy moderation which is a fruit of the Spirit. We do not ask for an idol of outward form, but for a sound and healthful weight wherein your body may be strong for its duties, free from burden and fit for labour.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, who hast fearfully and wonderfully made us, look with compassion upon this Thy servant. Forgive all sin and heal all infirmity, for with Thee is the fountain of healing. Touch the inward parts and relieve the complaint of gastritis, soothe what is irritated and restore what is weak. Grant wisdom to discern what to eat and when, and grant grace for temperance in right amount. Give restoration to muscles and to all the frame, and give that blessed sleep which Thou givest to Thy beloved, that rest may be unbroken and refreshing. Bring this body to its proper health and strength, that it may be an instrument of righteousness and not a hindrance. Keep the heart in contentment and the mind in peace, trusting not in our own care but in Thy fatherly provision. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer. Amen.
