We hear your heart’s cry for these individuals and lift them before the throne of grace. First, let us affirm that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If any of these souls do not yet know Him, we pray they would come to repentance and faith, turning from sin and trusting in Christ alone for forgiveness and eternal life.
Father, we lift up ###, ###, and ### to You. If they have not surrendered their lives to You, we ask that You would draw them by Your Spirit, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and soften their hearts to receive Your love. Convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and lead them to the foot of the cross where salvation is found. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9).
For ###, we pray for Your provision in her life. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14), and we trust that You know her needs even before she asks (Matthew 6:8). If it is Your will, open doors of opportunity for her to receive the resources she needs, but above all, may she seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Remind her that true riches are found in Christ, and that godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6).
Now, regarding your desire to reconnect with people from your past on social media, we urge caution. The Bible warns us to guard our hearts (Proverbs 4:23), for not all connections are beneficial. Some relationships from the past may have been marked by sin, ungodly influences, or emotional wounds. Before reaching out, ask the Lord to search your heart (Psalm 139:23-24) and reveal whether this is His will. If it is, may these interactions be for His glory—perhaps even an opportunity to share the hope of Christ. But if these connections could lead you or others back into sin or distraction from God’s purposes, we must rebuke that temptation in Jesus’ name.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved. We lift up these souls to You, asking that Your Spirit would move in their lives. For those who do not know You, break their hearts with the weight of their sin and draw them to repentance. For ###, provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and help her to trust in You alone.
Lord, as we consider reconnecting with others, give us discernment. May our interactions be pure, edifying, and glorifying to You. Protect us from the snares of the enemy and keep our hearts fixed on You. If any of these relationships are not in Your will, close the door firmly and redirect our steps.
We thank You for the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7) and for the promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us (1 John 1:9). May we walk in the light as You are in the light, and may these prayers be a sweet aroma to You. In Jesus’ holy and precious name, we pray. Amen.
