We come before the throne of grace with a heavy heart, lifting up this burden to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. First, we must address the language used in this request—salvation and deliverance come only through the name of Jesus, and it is vital to confess sins and seek forgiveness with a repentant heart, acknowledging Him as the only way to the Father. Jesus Himself declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
The request speaks of deliverance from a song, its sounds, words, title, and associated demonic memories and possession. Scripture is clear that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We must stand firm in the armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—which is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:10-18).
If this song or its elements have led to bondage, we must renounce any agreement with darkness and submit fully to God. James 4:7 tells us, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We must also examine our hearts—have we allowed ungodly influences into our lives through music, media, or other avenues? The Bible warns us to guard our hearts, for out of them flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). If this song or its associations have drawn you away from God, repentance is necessary. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and delivered. We acknowledge that without Jesus, there is no access to You, no forgiveness, and no victory over the enemy. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is struggling under the weight of demonic influence tied to a song and its memories. We renounce every agreement with darkness, every foothold the enemy has gained, and every ungodly tie that has bound this soul. In the name of Jesus, we break the power of this song, its words, sounds, and title, and command every demonic spirit associated with it to flee now. We declare that this person is covered by the blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask You to cleanse this heart from all unrighteousness. If there has been sin—whether through listening to ungodly music, opening doors to the enemy, or any other way—we repent on behalf of this one. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and restore them to full fellowship with You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment. Help this one to test every spirit, to discern what is of You and what is not (1 John 4:1). May they be rooted and grounded in Your Word, so that no deception can take hold. Teach them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to fill their mind with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8).
Lord, we thank You for Your deliverance. We thank You that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We declare this one free, in Jesus’ name, from every chain of the enemy. Strengthen them to walk in that freedom, not turning back to the bondage from which they have been set free. May they live as a testimony of Your power and grace, shining Your light in a dark world.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and Deliverer. Amen.
