We come before You, Lord God Almighty, with a heart heavy for our brother or sister who has cried out for deliverance from the chains of lust, the evil eye, and tormenting demonic memories tied to music that has ensnared their mind and spirit. We stand in agreement with their prayer, for You are faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we first address the issue of lust, for it is a snare that entangles the soul and defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We rebuke the spirit of lust in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written that those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires (Galatians 5:24). We pray that You would create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10). Strengthen them to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on You out of a pure heart (2 Timothy 2:22).
We also take authority over the evil eye, which seeks to bring harm, envy, and destruction. We declare that no curse or hex can prosper against Your child, for You have redeemed them from the curse of the law, having become a curse for them (Galatians 3:13). We break every assignment of the evil eye in Jesus' name and command it to be rendered powerless. Your Word assures us that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear You and delivers them (Psalm 34:7). We pray for a hedge of protection to surround them, that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Regarding the demonic memories tied to music, we recognize that the enemy often uses familiar sounds, words, and rhythms to trigger ungodly thoughts and emotions. We command every demonic spirit attached to these memories to loose its hold in the name of Jesus Christ. For it is written that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that You would fill their mind with whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, let them think about these things (Philippians 4:8). Replace every evil memory with the truth of Your Word and the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also lift up the importance of guarding one’s heart and mind, for out of it flow the springs of life (Proverbs 4:23). We encourage our brother or sister to immerse themselves in Scripture, for Your Word is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Let them meditate on it day and night, so that they may be careful to do according to all that is written in it, for then they will make their way prosperous and have good success (Joshua 1:8). We pray that they would fill their mind with worship that glorifies You, for You inhabit the praises of Your people (Psalm 22:3).
Father, we also want to gently remind them that deliverance is not just a one-time event but a daily walk of surrender to You. Let them put on the full armor of God, so that they may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Equip them with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:14-17). May they pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication, staying alert with all perseverance (Ephesians 6:18).
We also encourage them to seek godly fellowship and accountability, for iron sharpens iron, and one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). Let them surround themselves with believers who will spur them on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24). If they have not already, we pray that they would confess their struggles to trusted brothers or sisters in Christ, so that they may pray for them and support them in their walk (James 5:16).
Above all, we declare that our brother or sister is more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). We thank You, Lord, that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your promise that He who began a good work in them will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this prayer in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the victory that is already ours through the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). We declare that our brother or sister is set free, for if the Son sets them free, they will be free indeed (John 8:36). We seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus and thank You for Your faithfulness to deliver, heal, and restore. Amen.
