We hear your cry for deliverance and protection, and we join with you in seeking the Lord’s intervention. The fear of snakes and the torment of demonic influences are real battles, but we know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Let us stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
First, we must address the request for the annihilation of snakes. While we understand the fear and discomfort they may bring, we must remember that all creation was made by God and declared good (Genesis 1:25). Even the serpent in the Garden, though it became a symbol of deception, was part of God’s creation. Instead of praying for the extinction of a creature, we should pray for God’s protection from harm and for wisdom to navigate the world He has made. The Lord promises to rebuke the devourer for our sakes (Malachi 3:11) and to keep our feet from being snared (Psalm 91:3). Let us trust in His protection rather than seeking the destruction of His creation.
Now, regarding the demonic memories, sounds, and influences you mentioned, we take authority in the name of Jesus Christ over every unclean spirit. The blood of Jesus has power to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7), and His name is above every name (Philippians 2:9-10). We rebuke every demonic spirit attached to those memories, sounds, or words. The enemy has no authority over you, for you have been bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20). We command them to flee in the name of Jesus, for You have given us authority over all the power of the enemy. Lord, we ask that You cleanse this heart and mind with the blood of Jesus, removing every trace of demonic activity. Father, we also ask for Your strength to resist the temptations of lust. Help this one to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace (2 Timothy 2:22). Lord, fill this heart with Your Holy Spirit, that the fruit of the Spirit may abound—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). We declare that no weapon formed against this one shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ.
Lord, we also pray for Your protection from physical harm, including from creatures like snakes. We trust in Your promise to keep us from all evil (Psalm 121:7) and to be our refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We ask for wisdom and discernment to navigate this world safely, always looking to You as our protector.
Finally, Lord, we thank You for the salvation that is found in Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that this one would continue to grow in relationship with You, walking in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7). May this one find strength and encouragement in Your Word, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
