We hear your humble cry for forgiveness, and we join with you in seeking the Lord’s mercy. The Scriptures tell us, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9 WEB). Your acknowledgment of sin and plea for forgiveness in the name of Jesus is a powerful step toward restoration.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with repentant hearts, lifting up this dear one who has sought Your forgiveness. Lord, You are gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness. We ask that You would cleanse them from all unrighteousness and renew a right spirit within them. Help them to walk in the light of Your truth, turning away from sin and toward Your righteousness. Strengthen them with Your Holy Spirit to resist temptation and to live a life that honors You. Thank You for the blood of Jesus, which washes away all sin. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We also want to gently encourage you to reflect on what specific sins may have led to this moment of repentance. The Bible teaches us that true repentance involves not only sorrow for sin but also a turning away from it. *"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon"* (Isaiah 55:7 WEB). If there are areas in your life where you have strayed from God’s will, we urge you to surrender them fully to Him.
Remember, the name of Jesus is not just a phrase to add at the end of a prayer—it is the only name by which we can approach the Father. *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not yet made Jesus the Lord of your life, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit to following Him.
You are not alone in this journey. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Keep pressing into Him, and He will guide your steps. If there is a specific area where you need further counsel or prayer, do not hesitate to share it with us. We are here to walk alongside you in faith.
