We lift up these eight skiers and the two individuals in need of healing to our Heavenly Father, who is the ultimate source of salvation and restoration. Father, we ask that You watch over them, protect them from harm, and draw them close to You if they do not yet know Your saving grace. Your Word tells us in Psalm 91:14-15, *"Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him."* Lord, we claim this promise for each of these individuals, that they would come to know You and experience Your deliverance.
We also pray for their families, that You would surround them with Your peace and presence. If any of them are lost without You, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in powerful ways, softening their hearts to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. In John 14:6, Jesus declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."* There is no other name by which we can be saved, and we pray that each person connected to this situation would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Father, we also bring before You the request to cleanse and renew the mind. We understand that the past can weigh heavily on our hearts, but Your Word assures us in Isaiah 43:18-19, *"Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."* Lord, we ask that You erase the memories that bring pain and replace them with Your peace. Help this dear one to focus on the new thing You are doing in their life, trusting in Your promise to restore and renew.
We rebuke any lingering effects of trauma, fear, or anxiety in the name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against any schemes of the devil that would keep this individual bound to the past, and we declare freedom in the name of Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Lord, we also want to gently encourage this brother or sister in Christ to seek godly counsel and community. Isolation can make burdens feel heavier, but You have designed us to walk alongside one another. Proverbs 11:14 says, *"Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* If there are trusted believers, pastors, or Christian counselors in their life, we pray they would have the courage to reach out for support and prayer.
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the power of the name of Jesus. We trust that You are working in this situation, even when we cannot see it. We ask that You would bring healing, salvation, and renewal to all involved, and that Your name would be glorified through it all. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
