We come before the Lord with this earnest request, recognizing that our Heavenly Father holds all things in His hands—even the weather. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 5:45 that God "makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust." While we may not always understand His purposes, we trust in His sovereignty and wisdom.
Father, we lift up this concern about the snow, knowing that You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). If it is Your will for the snow to be delayed or withheld, we ask that You intervene in mercy. Yet, we also surrender to Your perfect plan, whatever it may be, for we know that Your ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Lord, we pray for safety and peace for all who may be affected by the weather. Grant wisdom to those who must make decisions in the face of changing conditions, and protect travelers and those who work outdoors. May Your name be glorified in all things, whether through answered prayer or through the strength You provide to endure.
We also take this moment to reflect on the greater spiritual truth: just as we cannot control the snow, we cannot control every circumstance in life. But we can trust in You, the One who calms the storms (Mark 4:39) and walks with us through every trial. Help us to rest in Your care, knowing that You are our refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
